Mother's Day - It was a stinker, literally!!!
I hope that all of my fellow Mommies had a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. As for me, I couldn't have asked for a better time with my family. I got to eat a yummy breakfast prepared by my wonderful husband with my mother and father-in-law Sunday morning. My wonderful husband even cleaned up (well mostly) after breakfast. He is amazing. I got loads of hand made cards from my 6 year old daughter. My son made me some crafts at school. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get a macaroni necklace to wear. I guess there's always next year, right? I did get an Ipod Touch from Brien and the kids. They got it on Saturday which was when I also received it because Tyler came in from shopping with his dad and sister and declared, "Mommy we got you a new ipod"! Since the cat was out of the bag, I got my gift a day early. I was so glad that I didn't end up with horse or cattle supplies because ya just never know with my bunch!
Sunday afternoon we went to my sister's house and spent the afternoon with my mother and siblings. Since my sister has a new house (a big log cabin) it was nice to be there because there was room for the kids to play and have fun while not disturbing the adults (too much). It was nice to spend time with my Mom. I have less and less than that these days. I also got a call from my dad which was a nice surprise.
The downside to the day was when we got home, we realized that Oscar the wiener dog (click the picture to see him hiding) had been left uncrated. This is not a good thing. When we leave, he vandalizes the house if he's left out of his crate. I don't know why this happens. He's fine when we're here, even at night. But, when we leave if we forget to lock him up, he chews up everything possible. This time, one box of diaper wipes, a half a bag of new diapers, a box of tissue, a brand new hair bow, and my "Mother's Hall of Fame" mother's day card fell victim to the violence . I guess we all know how Oscar feels about me now, right? The worst of all is that he found a sippie cup full of milk that had obviously been MIA for quite some time. He managed to chew a hole in the lid and the nearly solidified milk was then extracted by said perpetrator. Needless to say, the house was filled with an aroma that was unmistakable when we walked through the door. In fact, it still lingers.

Oscar Takes Over Mom's Blog
Hey everyone! This is your friendly neighborhood wiener dog, Oscar here coming to ya from this thing that always sits in Mommy's lap. Mom is too busy and tired to write, so she gave me the task. She wanted me to tell you about the latest happenings at the CrAzY Working Mom household.Tyler and Emily are not in good moods. They have pink eyes. I don't know what that means, but mom had to hold them down and put some stuff in their eyes. They both cried when she did it and I don't like it when they cry! Tyler loves his baby sister and Mom said that she thinks that Tyler loved her a little bit too much last night and that he must have brought her a pink eye home from his pre-school. I don't know why this didn't make Mom happy. A lot of things that Tyler does to baby Emily makes Mom unhappy, though.
We are going to have a lot of company over on Sunday for Easter. I think Easter is where I get to find eggs in the yard and eat them before the kids do. The man on the big magic box is saying that it is going to rain on Sunday so Mom thinks that we might need to find eggs on Saturday instead. This didn't make Mom very happy either.
Tomorrow Mom is going to go have her pedi's cured. I think that's what she told me. She said that this will make her happy! She can't wear flip flops yet because she hasn't had her pedi's cured. I sure hope that getting her feet cured will make her happy and she'll be in a better mood when she comes home tomorrow.
The kids are watching the magic box...
This is the same thing they watched yesterday, and the day before. Maybe I'll go see what Mom is doing in the kitchen. Something smells good in there. I wonder if she'll drop some? Mom will be back for LATSOF, so don't worry. Oh, and she also said that I had to say something about lingerie camisoles. I don't even know what they are. But, I bet they'd be fun to chew on. Thanks for reading. Woof, Woof!

Random Thoughts
*I made it to Shelby's field trip yesterday. We had a fun time. The performance was enjoyable (for Kindergartners).*I am on day 10 of my Wii Fit workout. Where else can you make a baby bottle, wipe a 3 year old's bottom and catch vomit while working out?! Only from the comforts of your own home!!!
*Things the dog chewed up after his escape from his crate while home alone today: 1 pair of shoes, several diapers, a whole box of wipes (box included), a bracelet, Emily's favorite toy, one sippy cup, one package of thank you cards, and a box of tissue (box included). There were three chew toys and two bones available at his disposal. I just don't understand!!!
*Shelby is sick to her stomach. It's going to be a long night. She has had some phenergan. Best invention ever...a compound that you rub on their arms. You can't give suppositories when they've got diarrhea and what good does it do to take it by mouth?!
*This morning's temperature was 19°. Saturday it is going to be 70°! Can I get a whoot whoot?!
*I'm still on the COBRA insurance from my old job. I have got to make myself research some insurance companies for dental, medical, vision, and term insurance. I just can't seem to make myself do it!!!

*Self cleaning oven, microwave oven, dishwasher, & lap top: I cannot imagine my life without them.
*Well, I can't imagine my life without my husband and children either. *grin*
*Oh, for those of you wondering...Emily is better! She's got a bit of a cough still, but for the most part she's well and my brother is well. It turned out that he only had a virus. Whew!
*I'm so ready for spring...and summer! Shelby asks every day if she can go swim in the pool! *LOL*

Saturday Photo Hunt & Camera Critters

Since this week's Saturday Photo Hunter's Theme is Furry, I thought I could just combine two posts in one. In this photo is our Dachshund, or "wiener dog" as we like to call him is taking a nap on the couch. His fur is short, but he has a lot of it. When choosing an indoor animal, I thought a short haired dog was a good choice because of less shedding however Oscar has proved me wrong. His black fur ends up everywhere!!!

Emily's Check Up
The doctor said Emily was doing fine and growing like she should. He actually called her "perfect, just like the other two". I just love it when he says this. I had a hard time leaving the office, though because my head was so swollen it would barely fit through the door. She got three shots and she handled them well. She was not too fussy yesterday afternoon or last night. Hopefully today she'll do fine also. She weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 14ounces. Her big personality is really shining through now. She loves her big brother and sister. They also love her. She's even befriended Oscar the wiener dog. I have a feeling that she's going to be quite the talker. She loves to have attention and she enjoys conversing, although it's unclear what she's trying to say just yet but still enjoyable nonetheless.

Oscar's Quiz
This afternoon, Oscar the weiner dog took over my lap top while I gave myself a mani and a pedi after indulging in some buffalo chicken pizza. He was busy taking the dogster celebrity quiz.

Going through the pain so you don't have to, Oscar knows that he trots a fine line between funny and stupid, but he doesn't care—he's laughing about it all the way to the pet store. His over-the-top antics make you grimace with fear and you often find it hard to believe that he actually enjoys playing the class clown. But Oscar laps it up and continues to defy the odds, despite your warnings and concerns. Other males in the pack tend to be a little jealous of Oscar, but the females find him simply dreamy. A die-hard good ol' boy, Oscar is more of a General Lee type than a Knight Rider, but give him enough time to think things through and he's sure to find a way to wreck both vehicles at the same time.
I can't argue with this!

Hmmm...
Hello everyone! Oscar just wanted to say hi. He's doing great. He got his second round of shots yesterday along with a heart worm pill. The vet says he looks good and he's growing well. He's been a wonderful addition to the family. The kids really love him. He's a bit rambunctious at times. He has very sharp claws and sometimes he gets overly excited and wants to jump on the kids thus scratching their legs. Puppies will be puppies and soon enough (I hope) he'll grow out of this and learn not to do so. In the meantime I have to mediate more fights with this additional member of the family. Ah well...so goes life.
For those of you wondering. We still have the stray kitties whom Shelby named, "JJ" & "Cradlemoon". They are doing well and JJ has really grown a lot and he (or she I still don't know!) is a beautiful cat. I'll try to get some pictures of them soon. They live outside but come inside from time to time to eat. Cradle moon is still very shy and will not let us touch her (or him). Maybe some day it will come around.

Oscar the Weiner
Oscar the wiener dog got a clean bill of health from the vet today. Well, almost. He does have a case of ear mites. I have to put drops in his ear twice a day for the next ten days. He weighed in at a whopping 4.5 pounds. He got a shot and he was a big boy. The vet laughed and said that the males are usually the biggest whiners when Oscar whimpered as the needle went in. I was quick to respond that male canines were not that different from their human counterparts. He graciously smiled and shook his head in agreement. I may have to invest in a headache treatment tonight the vet said sometimes shots can make them a bit sore and whimpery. He'll go back in three weeks for more preventative shots. He did great this time, so I have no worries for next time.

"Soccer"
Tyler, our two year old really loves the new family pet. His name is Oscar only this name has proven to be a bit of a tongue twister for the little guy. He has found it much simpler to call him "Soccer".
"Soccer" is doing great adjusting to his new home. He's doing well going outside to potty. He's had a couple of accidents, but they can be attributed to me not getting him outside in time. I think he's going to fit right in! He's even made friends with JJ the kitten. They played a few games of chase when I went home for lunch to let Oscar out to potty. So, hopefully the whole family is content with the new addition at the moment.
