Horseback Riding and Modeling

We're recovering from an afternoon of horseback riding with the kids. We had a fun time.  The weather was nice, although we got rained on a bit, it was just enough to keep us cool.  We saw some deer and beautiful countryside. The horses were all well behaved.  Pictured from left to right are Jeannene (and Tyler behind her) on Sierra, Me on Delilah, and Shelby on Remedy.  I explained to Shelby as we rode that we are lucky to get to enjoy such beauty and nature because there are people that live their whole life and not get to ride a horse and see such beautiful sights.  They should be thankful to be so lucky!  I've uploaded the rest of the photos to Facebook (as always) and you can find them here.  I have solidified the username crazyworkingmom (WHOO HOO) @ Facebook.

Brien and I enjoyed a weekend without the older two kids.  Emily was a joy on her own.  She is really coming into her own and her little personality is just so amazing.  I am so intrigued by the things that she learns daily and how much she changes.  She is saying, "My Momma" now and it is the cutest thing!  She is also a model now.  She's featured on Girls Girls Girls, a wonderful Etsy site to get hand made hair accessories.  You can click over to see her modeling two items:  here and here (this is my FAVE accessory).  I'm hosting a giveaway right now so if you want to win $20 worth of merchandise for this site, click the picture at the top of the page to take you to the giveaway post.  You'll be glad you did!

Thursday Thirteen - Random Thoughts

Archived TTs ~ TT Headquarters
What's On My Mind

1. The weather here in central Arkansas this week has been very nice. Today is the best day all week. The high is 74°!

2. Tyler had a check up today. The doc gave him a clean bill of health. He had ran fever most of the night last night. (See post below) His pediatrician seemed to think it was some sort of virus that is going around since he's on antibiotics from strep throat he treated him for last week!

3. I am still angry with our dog, Oscar. He got out of his crate while I was gone to the doctor's office with Tyler. He chewed up a half a bag of Emily's diapers, opened (but didn't ruin them all) two new packages of baby wipes, and chewed up a rattle toy that I bought for Emily last week. Grrrrrrr...

4. My husband is going to deer camp this weekend leaving me alone with the three kids. I hope I am up for the challenge. I may need to invest in some acne treatments afterward from the stress, though!

5. My mother in law might have to come rescue me by the end of the weekend. The good thing is that she will if need be!

6. My mother in law is my hero! Yes, you read that right! I really do ♥ her.

7. My kids have learned about divorce this week. They are curious as to why some kids have "two" dads. I explained to them that I had two dads as well. Tyler is a bit amazed. He keeps asking who his "other" dad is. *LOL*

8. Shelby is "Kid of the week" at school this week. I get to go to her class tomorrow to read them a story. I plan to eat lunch with her as well.

9. That reminds me that I need to go talk to her teacher in the morning to find out for sure what time I am to be at school on Friday for the story.

10. So far this year for Shelby's school, we've had two fund raisers, year book advertisements, class T-shirts, & school pictures that have caused us to fork over money!

11. Oh, and we're still collecting Box Tops if you have any you'd like to contribute please click the link. Every little bit will help!

12. Oh, my Wordless Wednesday was a lizard, of course. If you click on the photo below, you can see it larger.

13. I have come to realize that if I want to get any photos of Emily without her big brother in the shot I have to do so when he's not here or he's asleep. He loves her to pieces and it's hard to keep him away from her!

Another New Addition

My little brother and his wife had their second child this afternoon. Their first child was still born back in November of 2006. It was a very difficult time for them and I am overjoyed that now they are proud parents of such a beautiful little girl!!! She is a teeny tiny little girl, compared to her recently born 9lb cousin Jerimy. She weighed in at 4lbs 12oz. She was born a few weeks early. There are some concerns with her heart. I'm not sure of the specifics of it all but it's an "irregular" beat. She is being tested and well taken care of, so hopefully we'll know something soon and it will be good news. Her name is Reagan (and I'm not sure if I'm spelling it right) Elizabeth. She looks just like my little brother did when she was small. She's adorable, and NO I'm not partial! ;)
