Happy Blog-iversary to me, Happy Veterans Day to you!

My first post was written on Thursday, November 11, 2004.  It was short and sweet.  These days that seems to be the only way I operate.  My poor blog gets neglected a lot with 3 kids, work, house hold chores and obligations, church, etc.  I tend to twitter and Facebook a lot more than I blog because I can just keep it short and simple.

Today, in honor of our Veterans who have served this wonderful country, The United States of America I say Thank You for your service.  My children and I enjoy our freedom because of those of you who dedicate your life to serving!  I'm in agreement with Maxine:

Mommy Invented Products - Television Appearance

Here you have it, the video of my Good Morning Arkansas appearance on the local ABC affiliate. I had a wonderful time. The staff at GMA are amazing and Melinda Mayo is beautiful and so nice. Thanks so much to everyone for your kind words of encouragement here and on Facebook. I am so glad that I have the support of my friends, family, and fellow bloggers. Dear God:

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
This tiny little Prayer
Keeps running through my head:

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do;
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Please bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's unusual
To Bless a motherboard,
But listen just a second
While I explain it to you, Lord.

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds and ends;
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my friends.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give,
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you.
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendships grew.

CrAzY Working Mom's Blog Roll, Are You There?!

I am trying to update my blog roll. I have gotten bad about adding blogs to my feed reader but never putting them in the blog roll (which is important to getting you links for those of you concerned with Page Rank). You can see the list at any time over in the left hand side bar under "Daily Reads". But, I've added it to this post as well. If you'd like to be added to this blog roll, please leave me a comment on this post, or just e-mail me and let me know. I try to keep everyone that I read on a weekly basis included in this list. "Weighing In" on Some Things

This post is going to be completely random with no specific target 'cause it's Monday and, well I just don't feel like being composed today! Proceed with caution as you've been warned. ;)

* I have been on Weight Watchers for one week today. I have GAINED 1.5lbs.

* I have been doing the EAS Active for Wii 30 day challenge for one week. I am hoping that this is the reason that I have gained weight. I worked out 6 out of the 7 days last week.

* My Best Friend was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago and has started a new blog, please go visit Becca and tell her I sent you. Single White Diabetic.

* I found out last week that I am doing the lay-out for my daughter's class in this year's edition of the year book. At first I was worried 'cause I've never done it before. But, then I realized that I am lucky to be able to do something like this for my daughter and her classmates. But, I might need to go snap some more photos. The good thing is that I can do it all from the comforts of my own home. There is a website that I can upload the pictures to! Another mom has already sent me some great shots. One more has promised some. Now, I'm pretty excited about it.

* Emily is doing a bit better with her RSV. She still has a terrible cough, but probably will have for a while. She and Tyler broke out in some sort of rash over the weekend. Tyler's eyes almost swelled shut and his entire body was covered. We thought we were going to have to take him to the ER but, Benadryl did the trick. This morning the rash was gone. My sister has been fighting a similar rash for two weeks. She's been to two hospitals and the doctor twice. They keep telling her there is nothing they can do for her. Supposedly it's viral. I'm not sure if my children are battling the same thing, but it's a high probability, I'm sure.

* Tyler spent the night with his Grandparents on Friday night. He called me and informed me that he wanted to move in with them and just visit us. This was during the day. Saturday night at bed time, he called and said that he wanted to come home!

* I'm not sure how posting your bra colors, hair style, and shoe size on Facebook has to do with Breast Cancer Awareness, but it sure was fun getting comments from people who were out of the loop!

Support

I need some tech support. As you can tell from the post above I purchased a domain name through blogger (from Go Daddy dot com). To my understanding, it was supposed to be an easy transition that would automatically update my settings and my blog traffic would be re-directed to my new domain name. It could take up to two days for a re-direct to take place, meaning that when you type in my blogger address: tishblack.blogspot.com it will re-direct you automatically to my new domain name: www.crazyworkingmom.com. Well, apparently it isn't that easy. I purchased this domain on Friday night and my site still isn't being re-directed! Here is a screen shot of my publishing settings:

When I check the box under Your Domain where is says : Redirect crazyworkingmom.com to www.crazyworkingmom.com I am getting an error: Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains.

It does say underneath - Congratulations, your blog is ready! So, this makes me believe that somewhere in all of this that there is box that has been left unchecked or some minor detail that hasn't been completed.

What do I need to do to get this to re-direct?! If anyone has any knowledge on this or has completed this task previously, please leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail tishblack @ gmail dot com. Thanks!

**This issue has been resolved. I just didn't give it enough time to re-direct...patience is a virtue, right?!**

Error!

Okay, folks I don't know what is going on around here, but I don't like it one bit!!! Apparently Mommybloggerdirectory.com is having some problems of some sort causing this 401 Authorization message to pop up on my blog! I have tried going to their site to delete my account and get an error message there. I have e-mailed them to report the problem. I have checked my template and I don't find any of their code there. I do not remember putting anything on my site, so why in the world would this error message pop up on my site? If anyone (SANNI???) has any suggestions, please let me know.

UPDATE:
I've been contacted by the website and they have corrected the error. Whew!

Election Tuesday

Thanks to Mo for this virtual sticker. They didn't hand out "I Voted" stickers at my polling place today. I did make it to the polls and fortunately I had no line and quickly placed my vote as I knew where I stood on all of the issues on the ballot and the candidates. One sure thing is that no matter what the outcome this year, history will be made in the presidential election and hopefully our country will see some changes and they will be for the better. I hope that you got out and voted today. I am going to add Mr Linky for those of you who did. Yup, that's it...free links in honor of Election Tuesday and Miss Bee's birthday!!!

It looks like Blogger is at it again...it seems as though my faithful commenters are unable to do so. I haven't had time to make rounds this morning b/c I have to take Emily to the doctor for her two month check up and her shots. But, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

Apparently it had something to do with the comment embedding so for now I've gone back to the pop up box. I anthologize for the inconvenience.

Manic Monday - Juice

Juice...Well, since I seem to not have any "juice" in my battery as of late I guess that's what I could post about. I am tired but thankfully less sore and slowly but surely starting to get my motivation. My best friend is in town today and she's on her way now to meet our newest addition. I'm excited. We're going to get out of the house for the first time today since we've brought the baby home. The county fair is this week and Tyler is riding a horse in the parade today with his grandpa so she's going to get to see her big brother ride in the parade. He's super excited about it and I surely don't want to miss it.

I hope everyone is having a great Monday and it's not TOO manic for you all...and before I forget, my good friend, Sandee from Comedy + is having a birthday today. If you haven't already, go there now and wish her a very happy birthday!!!

Something else I've noticed

Blogger has changed the way in which you leave comments. Before you were able to leave a link and a name instead of using your blogger account. I liked to do this so people wouldn't have to go through my profile to click to my page. There are lots of people who have several pages, and sometimes you don't know which ones they're intending for you to visit. Now, that is not an option. I wonder if this has something to do with Google's Page Rank droppings? Hmmmm...
Anybody have any ideas?
