Support

I need some tech support. As you can tell from the post above I purchased a domain name through blogger (from Go Daddy dot com). To my understanding, it was supposed to be an easy transition that would automatically update my settings and my blog traffic would be re-directed to my new domain name. It could take up to two days for a re-direct to take place, meaning that when you type in my blogger address: tishblack.blogspot.com it will re-direct you automatically to my new domain name: www.crazyworkingmom.com. Well, apparently it isn't that easy. I purchased this domain on Friday night and my site still isn't being re-directed! Here is a screen shot of my publishing settings:

When I check the box under Your Domain where is says : Redirect crazyworkingmom.com to www.crazyworkingmom.com I am getting an error: Blogs may not be hosted at naked domains.

It does say underneath - Congratulations, your blog is ready! So, this makes me believe that somewhere in all of this that there is box that has been left unchecked or some minor detail that hasn't been completed.

What do I need to do to get this to re-direct?! If anyone has any knowledge on this or has completed this task previously, please leave me a comment or shoot me an e-mail tishblack @ gmail dot com. Thanks!

**This issue has been resolved. I just didn't give it enough time to re-direct...patience is a virtue, right?!**

Did you go through GoDaddy to buy your domain from them?

I don't have an answer for you, but I CAN tell you that your post directing people to your new domain which was posted here on your new domain actually showed up in Google Reader BEFORE I changed my subscription.

Ummm.. Tish. You don't need to check it again, it's already redirecting tishblack.blogspot.com to crazyworkingmom.com.

You're trying to redirect the dotcom to the dotcom.

Don't worry, the redirect will start happening. Relax. Breathe. It's okay. :)

Hi, I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy visiting your blog. Congratulations on your own domain. The redirect worked fine for me.

I have nominated you for an award because your blog shows both attitude and gratidude. It is well designed and informative. You can pick-up your award at http://momskitchencooking.blogspot.com on February 15th post.

Sounds like Barb has the answer. I see you as http://www.crazyworkingmom.com, so I'm guessing it's working just fine.

Have a terrific day. Big hug. :)

Yep, you're coming in .com for me, too.
Being technically challenged, I'm glad you found help. That's how I got my feed working - someone else had the problem!

Have no fear... btw, I get your new URL in my feeds, so it's working

the new gig is indeed in reader as mentioned....but typing tishblack does not redirect...and of course subsequent posts do not show up on your old site.

I'm no help.

Actually I am having the same problem.

When entering WWW. it works, but if you leave out the WWW it doesn't work. Blogger has gotten me totally frustrated on this matter, and if you check the forums, you are not alone! I am in the same boat!
