Straight From The Vault
I am very excited to announce that on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 the 50th anniversary platinum edition of Sleeping Beauty will be released from Disney's Vault. Shelby and I were lucky enough to receive an advanced copy of this very special DVD in exchange for this review. Since my daughter is a princess herself, she loves to watch Walt Disney's princesses on screen. What makes this movie even more special than it already was is that it's Disney's 1st ever classic animated feature in high definition! You'll also be pleased to know that this DVD contains many special features one of which includes an alternate opening including a big musical production number!
We own a huge collection of Disney movies. We love to watch them as a family. This is a perfect movie for the entire family, young and old, boys and girls. It includes princesses, dragons, princes, and fairy god mothers! What more could you ask for?!
If you'd like information on this or other Disney DVD releases, you can head on over to Disney's Website.

Some things are TIMELESS and Disney knows this oh so well ;--)
Hugs and blessings,
Whata fabulous movie - can't wait.
Cool, I haven't seen that in years! How did you score an advance copy?

i see i have dropped off top commenters. hmm i will have to sort that out lol ;)
hope your doing well and getting some naps in the day :0
This is one of my very favorite Disney movies though Malificent still scares the snot out of me!
Just don't ever read the Ann Rice version of "Sleeping Beauty"; it will totally ruin the fairy tale for you for life! I only read the first chapter and that was MORE than enough!
Disney sure has the timing on these re-releases. They catch the next generation every time.
One of the BEST ever.
I love sleeping beauty. She's my favorite princess... mainly b/c I love her dress. Especially when its BLUE... not pink.
But it shocked me when I was watching it with Erica that the witch actually says "with all the powers of hell." I tried distracting her at that part, b/c I don't want my 3 year old saying hell.
WOWOW, thank you for this post Tisha. I've been looking for this DVD but I can't find it anymore and now, they will release it on October. I am a huge fan of Disney Princesses. My daughter is only 3 with no interest of princesses yet but I know she will later. Thanks again for this great info.
I should get this dvd for my girls!
