Thursday Thirteen - Randomness

Randomness of the Week
(because I'm just too lazy to be creative)

1. Today is the projected "due date" of our third child. Will she be among the small percentage of babies that are actually born on their due date? What is your prediction?

2. Earlier this week, Brien shaved ALL of his facial hair from his face. It was the strangest thing to see my husband with no facial hair. I've not seen his top lip since we first began to date (we were 16). I hated it at first, but it is growing on me.

3. Hubby is also the proud owner of a new blackberry phone. He likes it so far and I must admit that I'm a bit jealous.

4. We have three birthdays in the first week of September, I sure hope this baby girl doesn't come along on one of them, unless Grandma, Auntie, or Cousin wouldn't mind one heck of a gift and sharing.

5. I am excited about watching Big Brother tonight. The feeds have been awesome this week (I don't subscribe, just read GREAT updates over at Big Brother 10 Insider).

6. This is my first week away from my old job. I've been at my husband's office every day this week working. I keep saying that I'll take a break tomorrow, but so far tomorrow has yet to come.

7. When your kids are gone for a couple of days with their Grandparents it takes a lot longer than a couple of days to get them back into their routine.

8. Why in the heck is it so HOT at the McDonald's play land?! Seriously, we were there tonight and I was miserable. I was only sitting there watching my kids play in the tunnels above my head. Heat rises, people. They came over to get drinks and they were wringing with sweat! We didn't stay long. It was like playing Orlando golf or something. Golfing and Heat = McDonald's with screaming kids, stinky feet, and cold french fries!

9. Last night there was a lizard in my house!!! I freaked out and tried to "catch" it with a cup. When I placed the cup over the little guy (who was blue by the way) I only got half of him. His tail fell off. Shelby and I were home alone. I yelled to her to get another cup. She freaked out and kept asking why the tail was moving when it was no longer attached to the lizard. Finally she brought me another cup. I put the two together once again squishing the little guy...sorry but better a dead lizard than a loose lizard in my house!

10. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and now I have indigestion. Oh, the joys of pregnancy!

11. My pedicure is in need of some touching up...trouble is that I can't "touch" my feet.

12. I'm looking forward to the three day weekend. We have no plans, but I'm looking forward to that extra "day off".

13. I took this picture on hubby's new phone tonight and I sent it to my phone b/c I thought it was too cute. It's the background screen on my phone now.

Thanks, Bee. I'll try to let all of my readers know when it happens (since hubby has a blackberry and I can e-mail a post!)

Wow! I hope that your peanut comes soon! As I read your sidebar, I was laughing as I realized how much we had in common. I, too, married my high school sweetheart. We've been together almost 10 years and are expecting #5...but not today, sadly...she still has 19 more weeks to cook! :) Good luck!

There's a reason that Blackberries are called "crackberries" - you know that, right? Hubby got a new one, so I'm taking over his "old" one. Sweet!

I'm still laughing at Bee's "skanky" lizard!!! I think they're called "Skinks." Can a lizard be slutty?
Love daughter #1's haircut!

I hope she decides to make her entrance soon! I went into preterm labor with my son at 33 weeks. I got to spend the night in the hospital while we tried to stop the contractions. We were successful, thank goodness. However, Mr. Stubborn decided, apparently, that if we wanted to keep him in so badly, he'd stay FOREVER. At least it felt that way. He was born three days after his due date. (Better than a friend of mine, due the same day, whose daughter came *13* days later. Heh.)

Good luck and God bless with your little one. I've heard that adding #3 isn't anywhere near as chaotic as adding #2 was, so you should already be well prepared!

You cracked me up with the lizard catching! I wouldn't want one in my house either. I had peanut butter and jelly yesterday for dinner and it gave me indigestion also and I'm NOT pregnant! LOL! I hope the babe comes today, I imagine you all must be so anxious for her arrival. I will be thinking about you today. Sending big hugs!

I really think at some point this weekend having a baby is in your plans....then I will know what size clothes to spoil her with I have an outfit picked out.
Hugs honey, I know the waiting is the hardest part.

Random posts are fun too! Good luck with the new baby. It's going to be fun. We have 5 birthdays in September. Ugh! Lots to buy for. Happy TT.

I'm sure you're more than ready for the arrival of your baby by now!

I had to laugh at what you said about Brien shaving off his facial hair. MWM always had a moustache and the kids and dog had never known him without it. Then he shaved it off - it was like all hell let loose - the kids cried and the dog barked - none of them recongised him!

just stopping to check in :) I AM SURE you will have the baby this weekend--maybe on "labor" day perhaps?

Have a great day, Tish.

Three kids -- the first 4 days past due date, the second 4 days before due date and I'm not even sure the third one even had a due date, but she came Dec. 29 so yeah we got to have her as a deduction for the whole year. Have a good day --- hope baby comes soon and all goes well. :)

You have adorable kids there, Tisha! Prayers for you and your new little baby.. hope all goes well.

My first born was 10 days overdue.. and had to be induced. My little girl was 2 days overdue because her father had to go outstation and so she was induced as well. :) So yeah.. none of mine came on the day itself.

Good luck on your delivery!! :)

You must be really itching to have your baby now that it's actually the due date too! WOW!! A LIZARD IN THE HOUSE? Holy cow, I freak out about a spider or earwig and you get lizards?

I LOVE the picture you took with your hubby's phone, it's so cute & Shelby's new hairdo looks so great on her!

Becky L said...

Oh, I remember how anxious I was, not knowing when my baby would come. And now that the due date has come, it must be even more so.
Good luck with everything!
