Yes, I shaved my legs for this!!!

I would like to thank the academy Sanni for accepting my bribe to get in on the biggest awards in the bloggosphere. I have shined up my red high heels and dawned my slinky red dress. My boobs are taped, my legs are shaved, and every hair is exactly in place in her honor.

I've been given a Bl-Oscar for Achievement in Photographic Memeing for Looking @ The Sky on Friday. As it turns out, enough people have been rejected by a certain other meme or appalled by the fact that others have that they jumped on board with this meme. I am so excited about this award as well as all of the support that I have received from my fellow sky photographers. I hope that we can keep this thing going for a long time to come!

Thank you Sanni for thinking of us - all of the sky watchers for this award. It truly means a lot. I'm going to add it to the info page for Looking @ The Sky on Friday as well as my sidebar.

The Patriot

Saturday afternoon...home alone. I've been sick, I'm pregnant. I'm watching The Patriot. I can't stop crying! Heath Ledger is dead. The movie is so sad. Pregnancy hormones are kicking in...someone please get me some fried pickles. I have ranch dressing to dip them in. Thank you!

A Prayer for a Friend

*I stole this graphic from Sandee @ Comedy +*

I just wanted to take the time to send my thoughts and prayers to a fellow blogger. Odat, is someone who I have come to enjoy reading and I am proud to call her a friend. Right now I can only imagine the turmoil that she is going through. She lost her husband on Thursday night. If you are not a reader of Odat's Mumblings, please click the link and go there to leave her a quick thought because Lord knows she could use them right now. Add her to your prayer tonight as well.
My thoughts are with you my friend, may Peace be with you and Spud.

Sad

Today I will attend the second funeral in less than a week of a family member. : ( My grandpa's sister passed away the same day we burried his brother's wife. Sad, sad stuff.
As I was shopping last night for an outfit to wear to this funeral, my mother called me and said that an uncle's (by marriage) father passed away from a heart attack yesterday. He was a sweet man. I probably won't be able to take off another day to go to his service, but hopefully I can make it to the viewing to pay my respects to his family.
