Marley & Me on DVD
Absolute Chaos - Those are two words that can often describe the Crazy Working Mom household. These same two words could just as well describe the Grogan house. Jenny (Jennifer Anniston) and John (Owen Wilson) are happily married newlyweds who decide to adopt a dog to get a taste of parenthood. I'd say that Marley gives them only a hint of it when he flunks out of obedience school, chews off the dry wall in their house, takes a bite (or two) out of the sofa, steals a Thanksgiving turkey and chases the UPS guy!
This movie will make you laugh out loud at the antics of this adorably lovable Lab. But, you'd better grab a box of tissue, because as much as we all love a good laugh, there are some tear jerking scenes in the movie as well. I felt such a connection with the characters in this movie. Anniston is one of my favorite actresses and I think she did a phenomenal job with this part.
It is a must see, folks. I would highly recommend adding this one to your collection. Don't forget to check out the extras as well. My favorites were the gag reels & the Marley-cam featurette. This DVD is available NOW from Fox Home Entertainment.

This is one time I disagree with you. I didn't like it and either did my hubby and son. It did have some funny parts, but the end part lasted too long and was too depressing for us. We both wanted a true comedy, and this didn't get it for us. The actors are both very likable and it is well done, just not our cup of tea.
I loved this movie and I will tell you that my new pup Ozzy... is Marley in minature form. I can't begin to tell you how many things have been destroyed by this dog of mine..... Marley lives on in Ozzy just he is only 16 pounds!!!!
Alice,
That's the funny thing about movies...we're all moved differently by them. I think that the movie portrayed real life so much (often times it is depressing) and that is what I loved about it. So many things that happened in their lives (like the miscarriage and the surprise baby) happened in ours, so I could really relate.
Thanks for your honest opinion! It's always welcome here!!!
Callie Ann, I remembered you going to the theater and coming back with a good review. You're one of the reasons I watched!
i've been meaning to get it! sounds great!
Did Oscar like it as much as you???
having read the book....I was prepared for the sad parts.
I thought the actors had great chemistry...and the dog was so great...I have been wanting a puppy ever since!

Ya get the point? bwahahahahaha
P.S. Marley is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, not a Golden Retriever. Sorry to nit-pick, but ya know how I am when it comes to dogs. hehe

I wonder how a cute and lovable dog will actually add color and happiness to the life of the happily married newlyweds. This sounds interesting.
