Manic Monday - Fire

The Manic Monday Master
A Couple of weekends ago we took the kiddos to Cave City, Arkansas where hubby has his deer camp. When we got there, we (well, mainly hubby) built a campfire so that we could roast marshmallows and wieners. I thought it was the perfect time to grab the Canon and play around a bit. I've not ventured much from the automatic settings on it because I am by no means an advanced photographer. I knew that sitting around a fire at night was probably a tricky shot for anyone but I thought it would be fun to try. I played with many different settings. One of my shots came out looking like this:
It's kind of creepy to look at. But, I assure you that the children were in no way harmed in the making of this photo. You can see in the next shot that they were indeed fine and that they enjoyed the campfire while roasting wieners!

There's no need to send them self defense products, I promise, they made it through the fire unscathed!

That looks so fun Tisha. Getting away in the big outdoors with a great fire and lost of hot dogs and marshmallows is a fun day indeed.

Have a terrific day and week honey. Big hug. :)

Looks like one of my wife's pictures. If you ever want pictures that make it look like the camera is tripped out on acid, turn the shutter speed to 1 or more seconds.

Happy MM! Your photos make it look like fun. I'm a big-city guy ... never been on a campfire trip.

I invite your blog readers to my tribute firefighters with a focus on historic fire chiefs around the nation.
