Thursday Thirteen - Sleepy Edition

Thirteen Reasons I Should Have Stayed In Bed This Morning:

1. Emily (my 8 week old)didn't sleep well last night, meaning that her mother (that's me) didn't either.

2. I got up and took a hot bath and was interrupted by BOTH of my children this morning.

3. When Shelby (5 yrs) and Tyler (3 yrs) woke up, they both wanted milk.

4. I had not made milk (or coffee) yet because I stumbled out of bed and into the bath.

5. Number 4 made my children angry right off the bat this morning.

6. Number 5 made me angry right off the bat this morning.

7. When I made the kids milk, Tyler cried because I filled his sister's cup up first.

8. Shelby had a wardrobe crisis this morning. Yes, she's only 5 and YES, I know my life will be hell until she moves out!

9. Tyler also had a wardrobe crisis this morning. He wanted to wear his water boots and his mother (yup, that's me) wouldn't let him. Why, it's NOT RAINING!!!

10. I put on my favorite brown mary jane shoes this morning to discover that Shelby's damn weiner dog had chewed them up. They were only a couple of weeks old!

11. Brien was out of town last night on business. I was at home alone with my three children.

12. I never did get around to making me any coffee this morning. There was never time!

13. Emily is crying now and wants a bottle...the circle never ends! *sigh*

I'm here with my daughter and month old grandson. Her husband is out of town and barely left the driveway before the smoke alarms (electrical) started going off. We had to turn off the electricity to get it off. It's been down hill since then. Come by and check out some mighty cute Halloween pictures.

Funny list to read although I'm sure not at all funny for you - and all of it without coffee? Yikes.

There is nothing worse than sleep deprivation. You have my utmost sympathy, kiddo!

Situation normal with young kids, I'm afraid. Believe me I know - or should that be, remember.
Good luck.

It does end, but you're probably thinking "not soon enough". One day you'll be looking at three adults and wondering what happened and how come you don't remember them being babies.

I hope your day gets better, but savor every moment with your little ones - the good and the bad.

Happy TT!

I'm sorry you had such a rotten morning. Hopeful after naps everything was better.
Part of me (a very small part) misses having little ones around with wardrobe problems etc. Thanks for the reminder that my life is so much better (or at least different) now.

LOL!I'm sooooo sorry girl!I had to laugh!I lost count of my bad mornings already!
The fact that Tyler cried cause you've filled Shelby's cup first is way too familiar to me!Don't stress about it cause that will continue! My 11 year old and my 9 year old fight over everything!Even over a glass of water!"mom!you've poured more into his glass!!!"LOL!
Ahhh!God Help Us All!!!!

If any post ever underscored why you're crazy, this one did. Hope you can't come up with a bad Friday Fifteen.

I had to smile, because I can totally relate (although I only have one under 5 and my other two can pretty much take care of themselves). The joys of motherhood, huh?
