Thursday Thirteen #50

Archived TTs ~ TT Headquarters

Mental Fung Shui to get you through the holidays

1. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2.
Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

3. Don't judge people by their relatives.

4. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'

5. Say 'God bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.

6. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

7. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it

8. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

9. Enjoy your family, but don't forget to spend some time alone.

10. Remember the true meaning of Christmas. It's not about how perfect your tree is trimmed, or if the dishes match the towels, etc. It's about celebrating the birth of Christ WITH YOUR FAMILY! Take it easy...relax and enjoy the season.

11. It's more fun to give that receive.

12. Talk slowly but think quickly.

13. Remember it's Merry Christmas, NOT "Happy Holiday" and don't forget that we're not celebrating "X"...spell it out, it doesn't take that much longer to keep Christ in Christmas. ;)

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

I like #8. Good idea, though sometimes the smile soon fades!

Indeed. And whatever you say, say nothing! And whatever it is, send a thank you note! Be the love.

If I know what holiday they celebrate I will wish them a good one. Otherwise Happy Holidays still works for me.

But for you...Merry Christmas, to you and your loved ones.

Happy TT!

Hey, Girlfriend, that is a great list! I love them all. I think I should copy it and print it out with a couple other 'tips' for making it through Christmas with 'the family'. LOL.

Hugs!!

Happy T13 and Merry Christmas
