Me: I think I need to go take some cough medicine. I don't feel good. My throat hurts, and I can't stop coughing.
Shelby: But, Mommy you can't be sick?
Me: Why is that, Shelby?
Shelby: Because Mommies can't get sick. They have to take care of Daddies and the kids. You can't do that when you are sick, Mommy!

I made a deal with God years ago when my kids were little . . . let me stay well and make it through all their illnesses.
It worked.
But I sometimes wonder what the bill will be when I have to pay it.

Ha, this was great. At a Christmas program Sunday night, I told my daughter not to pick her nose, so she obeyed and grabbed my shirt and wiped her nose on on my shirt. I was like, "Don't do that either!" Lol!
