Aaaaack!

Okay, so which one of you was it? Who did it, hmmm??? I asked you nicely to send good thoughts and prayers that my day would go smoothly today and someone was slackin' because it was horrible! Crazy bitch lady called the boss today. The bad part...she demanded an apology from me. My boss told her that it wasn't like me to be rude and he'd get to the bottom of it. He told me she wanted an apology. I asked him if I refused would I be fired. He said, "No, but you just have to remember that sometimes we have to do things that we don't necessarily want to sometimes in this business. Word of mouth can be detrimental to a business and even if it's not necessarily true, it can be very harmful." So, I agreed to call and apologize for any "misunderstandings" but I refused to admit to being rude to her because I was not. She did tell him a couple of lies so that made me angry. I told him that she was lying and I'm pretty sure he believed me. I called her work number with no answer. Then I called her cell phone and it went to voice mail. In my nicest, chipper voice I told her that I was informed that there was some sort of misunderstanding yesterday and if she'd like to discuss it with me I'd be more than happy to talk to her. Short and to the point. She never called back. My guess...she's got big balls when talking to someone else, but she knows that I know the truth. I don't figure I'll hear from her again, but I'll post if I do. I hope that your day was better than mine! I'm SO ready for this week to be over...next week VACATION and I tell you what...it could NOT have come at a better time.

The customer is NOT always right and I hated to be told that when I worked in fast food.

The customer sometimes must be mollified, but they are NOT always right.

I agree with Trav - the customer isn't always right. Often when they're not, they're being STUPID.

Sigh.

Ugh...I'm sorry you had to call this crazy lady and that your boss didn't find some other was to appease her.

I especially hate that he said, "Sometime we need to do things we don't want to" like you were a 3 year old.

Grrrr....

I know what you're going through. I've been in retail too long not to have went through things like that. It sucks.
