Saturday Photo Hunt - Hands

Although this isn't the best quality photo, I love it. I had been shooting candid shots of "nekked" Emily and she decided that she was ready to turn the tables on me. She grabbed the strap of my camera and tugged it. She was ready to get her hands on this wonderful piece of gadgetry! I think I have a budding photographer on my hands!

It's Here!!!

My New Toy has arrived and I ♥ it. The only thing that I am a bit disappointed in is that when snapping a photo, you have to look through the view finder instead of the LCD screen which I have grown accustomed to with my Kodak. But, it's something that I am sure I'll get used to. If anyone has this camera, or one similar and would like to give me any hints or tips they are welcomed here via comment or e-mail! For now, I'm off to play...well, as soon as the batter re-charges! I did get advice from an AWESOME photographer to order a spare battery. I think I'll do just that.

Advice for a budding enthusiast

This is the camera that I'm looking at buying. It is a Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens. I am currently using a Kodak DX6490 which I love. It's a great camera, but I am wanting a little more. It is 4.0MP where the Canon is 12.2. This is the major attraction to this camera. I have a birthday coming up and I am looking for some advice from some fellow photo enthusiasts. I love to take pictures and I want something that is easy to use and takes great pictures as well. Maybe then I'll buy a Zero Halliburton briefcase to carry it in! What kind of camera do you use and how do you feel about it? What accessories are a necessity for your camera, such as a zoom lens? Please leave me a comment and any advice that you can. Thanks!
