The Princess and The Frog Give Away - Sticky Post

Shelby and I had plans to go see Disney's The Princess and The Frog on the big screen, but we never made it. We were excited to learn of it's March 16th release to on Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD. You see, we read a story each night at bedtime. I like to buy Shelby chapter books and we read one or two chapters each night. We read this story and we both fell in love with it.  It's the story of Tiana, a beautiful hard working young woman who dreams of owning her own restaurant some day.  She has no idea how far that dream will take her.  But, with the help of friends and the courage to overcome the greatest of odds, Tiana learns what she really needs to make her dreams become a reality.

It is a wonderful story about following your dreams.  Shelby and I love Disney's newest princess.  Tiana is a great role model for all young girls as she never gives up on her dream of owning a restaurant, even when it looks like all hope is gone.  Of course all of Disney's movies include wonderful messages, I felt like this one sends a message that most anyone, young and old can connect with!

The single disk DVD comes with: deleted Scenes, audio commentary by John Musker and Ron Clements (co-writers and directors) and Peter Del Vecho (producer), “Never Knew I Needed” a Music video by Ne-Yo, as well as What Do You See: Princess Portraits — A bayou-style quiz tests viewers’ knowledge of all of Disney’s beautiful princesses. Ray’s firefly family creates twinkling portraits of each princess and if the player correctly identifies her, they can enjoy a tongue-cheek mini re-telling of that character’s story.

The Blue Ray Combo Pack comes with additional bonus features including:

• Backstage Disney Magic In The Bayou: The Making of A Princess — Co-writers and directors John Musker and Ron Clements take a freewheeling, behind-the-scenes look at the making of Disney’s newest animated film.
• The Return To Hand Drawn Animation
• The Disney Legacy
• Disney’s Newest Princess
• The Princess and the Animator
• Conjuring The Villain
• A Return To The Animated Musical
• Bringing Life to Animation with an introduction by John Musker and Ron Clements.
• Deleted Scenes introduced by the filmmakers
• Art Galleries — A collection of storyboard art traces the visual development of The Princess and the Frog’s rich gallery of characters and settings

I am very happy to announce that I have a copy of this DVD to give away to one lucky CrAzY Working Mom reader!!

When I was at Disney over Thanksgiving, they'd completely overhauled the area around Tom Sawyer Island into Princess and The Frog - I didn't realize until then that the colors Disney chose for the movie were the Mardi Gras colors. I've heard a couple songs from the sound track, but would love to see the movie.
Little Mermaid is my favorite of the "Disney Princess" movies - what's yours?

I'm going to take a chance here - I'm Canadian BUT if I win I could get it shipped to a friends house???

Anyway I would LOVE to win this!!!

My dream from five to 17 was to be a teacher - I never changed it until it came time to do it.... now I can't see myself as a teacher - I honestly don't know what I was thinking????

I wanted to be an opera singer! Seriously, I played an opera singer in a school play in 1st grade (sang a little song), and that was my dream for years. :-)

After that it was...librarian, singer, veterinarian, jockey, and owner of a junk yard.

And instead of any of those...I became a computer programmer of sorts. Go figure.

Thank you for the giveaway!

Since I was 8 I knew I would write. Not sure then in what form, but I've had several opportunities during the past 3 decades to write for fun, for school and professionally. Now, I am enjoying my children as they search for their identities. (BTW, I do have 2 princesses and 1 prince.)

I had two dreams...to be a nurse and to be a stay-at-home mom. I was in college on my way to becoming a nurse when I got pregnant with my daughter and I became a stay-at-home mom. One out of two isn't bad! And I'm considering going back to school and becoming a nurse when the kids are older.

When I was a kid I idolized my mom. I wanted to look like her, act like her and be a nurse like her. I did become a nurses assistant, but never finished school to become an actual nurse. I am just a stay at home mom to my wonderful kids and couldn't be happier.

My childhood dream was to become a doctor. Not the imaginative, I know...but then again I was always kind of practical even as a kid. Did I follow it through? Yes and no. Sampled it with EMT training, but alas, the big picture fell through. Working on a new dream though....no one said that you couldn't change the star you were aiming for. =0)
