Just playin' catch up...
Another weekend in the books already. This weekend was the annual "Higgins" family reunion. My little sister from Texas is staying with us for two weeks. She got to see family that she hasn't seen in several years. It was a fun time and I enjoyed being in the company of other CrAzY family members! I have uploaded the photos to Facebook and you can find them here. In the collage below, are my sisters and I with my Dad. In the bottom photo is my Aunt who made those purses out of juice boxes. The girls loved them! We do an auction every year to raise funds for the next year. I won't say what the purses cost, suffice it to say that the reunion next year will be nice! *grin*
Shelby lost a tooth:
Now she has no front teeth. It's quite comical to hear her say certain things that contain the sounds "th" and "st". I think she looks as cute as a button. Now she's missing three teeth total. Her bottom teeth have grown back, thankfully.Emily (and I) got a sunburn:
I feel really bad about it. When an infant is sunburned, a parent can be the only one to blame. She usually swims in a float that is covered. The water in our pool was a bit cooler than normal and she wanted to be held. She and I were on a raft that sits in the water. We were in the water a bit longer than I thought we were. We're both a bit red. She's taking it like a champ, though and I can promise one thing...she will not be in the pool again without being drenched in sunscreen!
Overall we had a jam packed weekend filled with family fun. This has been a very busy summer for our family so far. It's tough to keep up with three kids as well as my sister being here. We're having a great summer and I'm enjoying my time with my little sister playing the Wii, listening to Mp3 players. I hope she's enjoying hers as well!

Summer is a great time for family time. There are so many fun things to do, but relaxing together works too!
Glad the reunion was a big hit. Good for all of you.
Shelby looks so cute. She really does. We all have these kind of photographs. Love it.
Ouch on you and especially Emily. She'll be just fine honey. Don't be too hard on yourself. Just saying.
Have a terrific day. Big hug and lotsa lovies. :)
yeow - sorry about the sunburn
Shelby does look cute missing all those teeth. ;-)
You and your sister could be twins you look so much alike!
Oh poor little Emily (and you). I too know the guilt of my child getting sunburnt - it happens. x
So many cutie-patooties. :)
awwww! I hope you both feel better soon. Accidents happen so don't beat yourself up. As for the reunion photos all I can say is "Ya'll are do dang cute."
Tisha, Shelby is adorable! I'm sorry you and Emily got sunburned. It never dawned on you, I'm sure... :)
Looks like you had a great weekend and fun time at the reunion.
Luckily baby's skin heals quickly so I'm sure Emily's sunburn won't last too long. Don't beat yourself up about it, just chalk it up to a lesson learned, and invest in lots of SPF50!
I'll bet infants get sunburned quick - don't beat yourself up, kids for eons have been getting sunburned!
Great photos! So, did the toothfairy come on two separate nights, or twice on one night?
I guess Shelby isn't going to eat any corn on the cob any time soon! She looks SO cute!
My son had real pale skin, and since I don't usually burn, it took a real hard lesson on my part. Karma - I got the tops of my feet burned so badly our first trip to Hawai'i, I had to stay in the hotel room one day with my feet propped up.
I'm so glad your reunion was so much fun! I don't have enough family to even have a reunion!!!
~~~Blessings~~~
Poor baby and mommy. Shelby looks adorable!
Don't beat yourself up. Even experienced moms can make a mistake once in awhile.
