For Mommies With Daughters

Hello, my name is Tisha and I am a mommy with a baldie! Yes, I know the first step on the road to recovery is to admit that you have a problem. I know that I have a problem, but I just can't help myself. I ♥ to buy bows for my little bald baby. As a working mother of three, unfortunately I am always on the go. I think that bows are adorable and I love the added accessory not only on Emily but on Shelby as well. When Emily was born bald, I was devastated that I could not put little bows in her hair but as I scoured the internet I was thrilled to find that I could buy head wraps and then just purchase interchangeable bows with alligator clips to put on the wraps. There are lots of places out there to get bows and it is easy to spend a lot of money on them before you know it. I knew when I purchased that I wanted to buy handmade. The best place to get handmade items is, of course Etsy. I was lucky to come across Tanika's Etsy site, Girls Girls Girls and I have been hooked every since! She has some of the cutest handmade bows that I have ever seen. Her designs are unique and very well made. Being a mother herself, she designed and created the bows for her daughters. Unfortunately, mom's like me depend on mom's like her to do the same for our children. For her, I am grateful!

I have had the opportunity to receive a Strawberry Shortcake bow with an alligator clip and red crocheted beanie cap. Tanika describes this bow on her site as follows: "This is a triple layered bow with a mix of red, pink, white, and red and white plaid print. Centered on this beautiful piece is a classic Strawberry Shortcake cap." This bow has gotten more complements than any other that she wears, especially with this adorable beanie cap!

I've ordered many things from Girls Girls Girls and have not been disappointed. Emily wears a bow any time we go out and I am always asked where I get them. I keep the website handy so that I can tell everyone how great Tanika's site is! One of my favorite things is that she has a flat rate shipping. $2 will get any item or items shipped to you anywhere in the US! This is a deal that you just can't beat! Tanika has graciously offered up $20 in free products from her shop for one of my readers! You heard me right, you can win these beautiful, handmade designs easily. All you have to do is hop over to Girls, Girls, Girls over at Etsy.com and choose your favorite. Leave it in a comment here. A winner will be selected at random and Tanika will ship your favorite product(s) directly to you! It doesn't get any easier than that!!

The contest will end at midnight on Friday, June 26, 2009. One winner will be chosen at random. Please make sure that your profile links to a valid e-mail address if you do not leave one in the comment. If you are chosen as the winner, you must respond within 36 hours or an alternate winner will be chosen.

My daughter is way "too cool" and teen for bows now, but I DO have several great nieces who would love them. I like the Passion for Purple one.

The Bright Flowers clips are super cute. The strawberry shortcake is cute too, but it might just be the face on the model! :) Very cute stuff.
