Hello Spring!

"Honey, you have to have rain in order to have the pretty days filled with flowers, green grass, and birds singing."
-My Grandma
This was my grandma's response when I would complain that I hated the rain. I still don't care much for rainy days, especially when I have three kids with three different destinations in the morning and I have to get them in and out. But, I always have to smile when I remember my grandmother's comforting and wise words. I miss her every day, but especially at spring time. I would always call her and she'd tell me when it was time to put out my hummingbird feeder. I need to get over to The Wren's Nest and get some of those fancy feeders ordered because Oscar the wiener dog chewed up the one from last year. We've had so much rain the past week that the yard is saturated and the kids are going stir crazy. I know, you don't have to leave me hate comments that at least we got rain and not snow. We're lucky...I guess. I'm just ready for the rainy part of spring to be over with! I grabbed my Canon Monday and grabbed a few shots while the sun was shining, sure signs of Spring. I am glad to see it!

We have snow :P I just want to get my garden started but the weather won't cooperate. I understand about the kids being stir crazy, mine get like that when they can't get out too.

It's cloudy and overcast here in Boston today-they say more rain. Being stuck inside without anything to do all day is hell for me these days, so rain just makes it 100 times worse. But, your grandma's right...it'll soon give way to green.

One of my favorite songs is Never Blame the Rainbows for the Rain. The words to the chorus are;
Never blame the rainbows for the rain
And learn to forget the memories
That cause you pain
The last whispered wish of age
Is to live it all again
So never blame the rainbows for the rain

love the pictures, cant wait till we get some more warm weather. As for the kids, just turn on the water house, have them go out and get all muddy then rinse them off before they come in...lol
