Hmmm ... I don't know whether or not my comment got through because there was an error message so I'll try again. Nifty capture ... from my own experience with opossums, they tend to play dead rather than 'struggle' like this. I wanna know the backstory too. I shared pelicans at Small Reflections this week.

Possums are probably my least favorite mammals.
We had one that lived under our garage when we lived in Dayton. It used to stand on my back steps at dusk, and would not move when I tried to get in my back door. I would have to go to the garage and get a shovel and push it out of the way, while it hissed at me. Yuck.
