Glub Glub...Ouch!
Today I was in a bitchy mood at work. It was just one of those days where I didn't want to get out of bed, then when I did I just wished that I could've went back.
When we got home this afternoon, Shelby and I wanted to go for a swim. Tyler chose not to swim, so I let him play in the back yard while we gals played a bit in the pool. I had taken my cell phone out and put it in my shoe so that I could keep up with the time while we were out there. Somehow Tyler found it and he'd climbed up the ladder and in the blink of an eye he threw it in the pool. I quickly grabbed it up and pulled it out of the leather case. It had been completely submerged in the water. I shook it out a bit and threw it down on the ground outside the pool hoping the sun would dry it out. Well, it's still not working. So, I guess my cute little pink Razor will have to be replaced. :(
As if that wasn't bad enough, after we got out of the pool, I was sprinkling some chemicals in the pool and Shelby had gone over to where Tyler was playing and slid down the slide. She still had her arm floaties on a heard her scream. I looked over and her arm was stuck between the bottom of the slide and the leg of the swing set. She finally got the floatie unstuck freeing her arm and she came running over to me holding her ear. She was screaming, "That red fly bit me". OH SHIT!!! It was a wasp. It got her twice on her little ear. By this time it was very red and begining to swell. Poor little thing. She screamed a while. I know it had to have hurt her pretty bad.
Hubs went out later on and it turns out that there was a nest of them under the slide! He sprayed it down with some wasp and hornet spray. Hopefully that'll keep them away. As for Shelby, she's feeling better now.

I'm glad she's feeling better! And I'm sorry about your phone, but it does make for a cute story. :)
Memo to self: When looking for a new cell phone do not get a Razr as it won't work in the shower!
I'm just glad it was only one wasp that got Shelby and not the whole nest, that would have been really, really bad.
Hope tomorrow is better!
Poor baby! I'm glad she's feeling better!
Gee Whiz, girl! If you hadn't been in a mood, that would've clinched it!
Tell Shelby I'm sorry that stupid wasp got her!!! I have to dodge the stupid things when I go out to water my hanging stuff. I put out wasp bait but so far, haven't caught a one, and we haven't located their nests. Hate 'em.
Let your phone dry for about a week and it should be fine. don't open it or do anything. I washed mine in the washer and had it drop in the sink several times and each time if I let it dry for about a week it ends out working again. LOL. To be a clutz.
What a day. Poor Shelby too. It was an "OH SHIT" afternoon it sounds like. Hopefully today will be much better. Well, at least it's Friday. :)
oh my word!!! what a day you had honey...
