Thursday Thirteen #31
1. Two years ago on this very day I gave birth to my second child.
2. Tyler Matthew Black was born at 10:58am TWO years ago today, August 9, 2007.
3. Tyler weighed in at 8lbs 2oz.
4. Tyler was 20 3/4" long.
5. I went in at 7am to begin induction for delivery. The dr and nurses thought I would be there all day. I assured them that I would have him in time to eat lunch!
6. When I was getting my epidural, I told the nurse it felt like he was crowning. She laughed and said it was just pressure from sitting up.
7. When I laid back down after the epidural. The nurse checked me and immediately called the dr because I was ready to deliver...he was crowning!
8. The epidural did not work until AFTER Tyler was delivered.
9. Tyler looked exactly like his father when he was born...EXACTLY!
10. We are taking Tyler (and big sister, Shelby) to the circus tonight as a birthday surprise for Tyler.
11. This will be Tyler's 4th day at daycare. He's taking birthday cookies for his new friends. (Mom hopes he does better today being dropped off)
12. He will have a "cowboy" party on Saturday with family and friends.
13. Happy Birthday to my little guy! Mommy loves you so much and I can't believe that you are growing up so fast!!

what a wonderful birth story.. I have been reading alot of those this week, because Time travel Tusday was about our birth stories. Reading about the birth of such cute babies can never get old. Thank you for sharing your.

That is a really pretty baby, even brand new. But the epidural that didn't work till after he was delivered? Ow ow ow ow ow

My mother had a birth like that with my sister - she was born so fast that the epidural (maybe it was a spinal block back then?) didn't work until after she delivered. Her legs suddenly went numb and she thought she'd been paralyzed!
I know what you mean about the epidural. I was induced and gave birth so quickly the anesthesiologist didn't make it to my room in time.
