Yes! You read that headline right. Here's the story:
A Great Dane in Memphis is in the doghouse. Investigators say King George apparently got so excited when friends came to pay a visit to his owner, that he knocked a small caliber handgun off a table Tuesday.
The gun went off, shooting King George’s owner in the back. The owner was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He is expected to recover.

Does it beg the question, 'why did the owner have a loaded gun out on the table?'
Maybe the dog is not that one that should be under investigation. Just a thought.
I agree with Sandra. Why was a loaded gun sitting out on a table like that, apparently with the safety clicked off?
That's just careless and certainly not the dog's fault.
