5 Things I Haven't Mentioned Before

I have been tagged by my friend, Sanni @ Coffee 2 go has tagged me with a
Meme. The purpose of this Meme is for me to tell you 5 things that I have not previously revealed on this blog. So, here goes!
1. Lalalala: Some of you already know this because either you've known me personally or read The Interview I did with David a couple of years ago. I am a singer. I onced traveled with a country band as the lead female vocalist. In this country band we did several different skits. I would dress up as Dolly Pardon and sing 9 to 5. In this skit, I had to "enhance" certain portions of my body that aren't as "endowed" as Dolly. I would use balloons to achieve this look. I no longer travel, as I have a family who needs me. I realized that having a wonderful husband and a family was more important to me than music. That is why I quit singing professionally. I still do it in the shower, in the car and when I rock my kids to sleep, though.

2. My husband is the man with whom I lost my virginity.

3. My best friend and I sat up one night ALL night long watching cars in the parking lot from the 12th floor of the Gold Strike Casino hotel! :) It was a fun night. But, it sure was a LONG ride home 'cause we were both so tired!

4. If my husband (or anyone else for that matter) folds my towels, I have to refold them. I am very anal about them all being the faced the same way, etc. The washcloths are included in my madness.

Finally...I cannot STAND for a child to be dirty, especially my own. It drives me insane. They both hate it when I bathe them and dig the dirt out from under their finger or toenails!

Sorry it took me so long to do this. It was a bit harder than I had expected it to be since my life is an open book on this blog! :) Hope I've enlightened you all. Now I have to tag five others!! Who'll be the victims

lucky folks?!
I choose: Kara from A Bit of Me
Josh at The Gabbatha Journey
Rachel at The Heart of Rachel
Gene from Turning The Pages of Life
and last but not least, my buddy David from David's Daily Talk...
Hope you all will participate and enjoy!

Everyone Needs Some Love

Books By You

I heard a commercial for this on my local radio station, so I had to check out the website. It is a really neat idea. It's too late to order one for Valentine's day to get the actual book, but they do gift announcements for you. This is a really neat idea if your spouse is an avid reader. Check out
Book by you for a GREAT gift idea. "You co-author our books by providing the names, features and places to include in your personalized novel. These novels are full-length, 100 to 199-page books that look and feel just like a classic paperback novel."

The Wise Ms Bee

Ms Bee left a comment on my Manic Monday post that I thought deserved repeating. I loved it, Bee and it nearly brought a tear to my eye to think about it. "just do the best you can and don't sweat the small stuff. they'll remember the hugs, not the clean floor." What a wise woman! Thanks for the vote of confidence, Bee and the GREAT advice!

Manic Monday With Mo # 3 - "Spike"

This Week's Manic Monday With Mo theme is "Spike"

One definition of the word Spike is to rise or increase sharply. I had a particularly hard time with this theme. I have never killed a deer called a spike. I'm sure hubby has, but what kind of story would that make for my blog. I've never been to a party where the punch was spiked. I've never used a spike to kill a vampire or build a railroad. I've never sat down with Spike Lee for an interview. So, I have racked my brain for two days now as to what in the heck I would post about this week. I gotta post something. I can't let Mo down. I just hafta think of something witty, something that'll keep 'em comin' back for more next week. I am sorry, guys but I have thought and thought and as I was cooking dinner for my family, hubby was sitting in a reclined position in his LAZY boy. The kids were fighting over old french fries from lunch, pulling hair, and smashing them in the carpet. I felt my heart pounding. I stirred the pots on the stove and headed in the "family" room to mediate. I tried not to get between the television and my loving husband while RE-cleaning the living room floor. Then it hit me...I'm a Mom, my blog is called CrAzY Working Mom, so right then and there, I dropped the fries, turned down the stove, unchained the children and headed to my computer! I've got it!!! So, here we go:

Things that make my Heart Rate & Blood Pressure SPIKE:
Cleaning the house for 4 hours, it's destroyed in 5 minutes!
Sitting on the toilet and falling into the water below because the seat is up!
Busy...cooking, cleaning, saving the universe and the kids scream for me while daddy is sitting comfortably in his recliner!
Picking up dirty clothes out of the floor IN FRONT of the hamper!
Hubby leaving clothes hangers anywhere but in the closet where they belong!
Empty tea pitcher in the fridge!
Dirty, crusty socks in the laundry turned inside out!

I'd just like to add a foot note here that I truly love my family. I love my children and my husband. For if it were not for them, I would have nothing here to post. I love them and for every time I get frustrated with them, I smile three times! There is nothing in this world like a kiss and a hug from my children or a smile followed by a touch on the cheek and a beautiful kiss from my husband. But, we all need a rant every now and again, 'eh?! Hope you all have a great Monday and I can't wait to see every one else's take on such a difficult thought provoking word!!!

Dixie Chicks

Those Dixie Chicks...they swept the Grammy's huh? Whaddya think about 'em? I think that their old stuff was good. But, they got too bit for their britches as we say in the south. That Natalie just gets under my skin! I think she's kinda cocky and has a big mouth. But, I guess what I think doesn't amount to a hill of beans, right!? Those Chicks are Grammy winners!! (photo courtesy of Reuters) Grammy's tonight included: Album of the year, Record of the year, Song of the Year, and Country Album.

Dinner Anyone???

I took this picture last night of my son taking a bath in eating his dinner. This picture was made possible Idaho Russet Potatoes and Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. You'll be happy to know that his hair is potato free, they came out easy in the washing machine bath.

Movies

Tonight ended up being a movie night. On the screen were Employee of the Month & Gridiron Gang. I chose the later of the two to be my favorite. I really liked Gridiron Gang. Go grab a copy if you haven't seen it. It's a really great movie staring The Rock & Xibit.
For now, I'm gonna wake snoring hubby from the couch and shoo him to bed and follow along behind him. G'night all!

Saturday Photo Hunt # 5 - Broken

This week's theme: Broken

Photo Explanation
This is a cup from an antique curio cabinet I inherited from my paternal Grandmother (now deceased). This cabinet (and most of it's contents) have been passed down for generations to the first grand daughter. My son decided to beat two of the cups together one afternoon and before I could tackle him, he had broken one! Way to go, huh!?!? This thing has survived generations, and he took one out!! *LOL*
