Conversations With Emily Grace
For several nights I've been telling Tyler that I need to clip his fingernails when he gets out of the bath tub. By the time I get him out, dried and clothes on, I forget about the 4 inch fingernails. Last night I decided to just clip them while he was in the tub. I did so and then when he got out, left them laying on the edge of the bath tub.
Fast forward to this morning. I was getting Emily dressed and she emerged with the fingernail clippers. She knows that I do not allow her to play with them, so she came to me and said, "These hut (hurt) me?" I said, "Yes ma'am."
She proceeded to hand them to me and asked me if I would clip her fingernails. I told her that they didn't need clipped just yet. She then proceeded to ask me to clip her finger toes (toe nails). Fortunately they didn't need clipped so we moved on to her dirty diaper.

This morning I asked her if she'd pooped in her diaper. She said, NO!
I said, I smell you...you're lying to which she responded, "I not lying mommy. I tell the truf!" It was too cute.
