Witty Banter From An (Almost Grown) 7 Year Old

PhotobucketShelby is not even 8 yet and attitude spews from her like a Coca-Cola left in the car on a hot July day in Arkansas!  I'm not kidding, this girl can sure throw some serious "if looks could kill" glances and sigh as though she were about to go into cardiac arrest.  She's a work in progress to say the least.  I know this is something we really have to nip in the bud.  Yesterday as we were going to school I said something to her.  I honestly don't remember the topic of conversation, but I saw her roll her eyes.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me?"  I asked.

Thinking very quickly on her feet, she replied very sweetly: "No, of course not. I was looking at the ceiling."

Ah yes, the eye roll. She is starting young! My daughter started that at about age 12.

But it doesn't last forever. ;-)

Shelby is a quick thinker!

What Patty said... Just remember, in the future she'll be a recipient of a similar eyeroll as a mom... They grow up fast!

Sadly I have 7 year-old students who do that too me.

Then I let the wrath of God fall upon their head. Funny how the eye rolls stop after that point... (Things that make you go hmmmmmm.)

One of our grandsons (aged 6) is just the same - I swear he's already a teenager! :0
