Impromptu Breakfast
It is not something that I get to do often enough, in my opinion. Yesterday I got to spend a little bit of time with my sister and her daughter. The boys were all gone, so we decided to meet for breakfast at IHOP. We had a nice time. It was just "us girls". Emily enjoyed some snuggling time with her Aunt "Lulu" as they so affectionately call my sister, Mandy. (Long story...)
Katie and Shelby enjoyed chatter and playing with their Silly Bandz (the latest craze at their school). It was class picture day so they both looked spiffy. I think that we should make it a weekly, or at least bi-weekly occurrence to get up and meet for breakfast. Sure, it's a little tough to get out of bed early, but the reward of getting to spend some time with family is way better than sleeping in. Besides, we can always go to bed early! ;)

How fun indeed. These are very precious moments that the kids will always remember. Family. You just can't beat family.
