Looking at the Sky on Friday

Photobucket

This was the view of the sky last week at the Memphis River Arts Festival. I spent the weekend there with my best friend of twenty years. We had an amazing time and the weather in Memphis was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better time. I am so fortunate to have an awesome friend to spend time with and a caring husband who trusts us enough to unleash me for a weekend.Civil Right's Museum. We did not visit the We did hang out on Beale Street, visited a Haunted house, and as I mentioned before visited the Memphis River Arts Festival. All in all it was an awesome weekend. I was glad to be able to take advantage of the beautiful day with my camera and snap some wonderful sky shots! I think that time and money permitting I would love to make this October trip an annual vacation for the two of us. Maybe next year we can plan one of those orlando vacations. So, what did you do last weekend? I'm looking forward to seeing some of your skies today since the rest of the week it's going to be bleak and dreary here. Happy Friday, my friends!

The best thing about best friends is that you cannot have more than one. On any level, one can have lots of friends, but only one who can be called 'best'. You had a fine time, and we know because of the lovely Memphian sky! You deserved a break, and the children really missed you. A fine time you had, and deservedly so!

I'm glad you had fun with your friend, and also that you caught that cloud peeking over the building!

That sky is the most gorgeous shade of blue!

I'm glad you and your friend had a good time on your trip. We spent the weekend at home, getting tile laid in one of our bathrooms.

A weekend away sounds like such fun. When I go away with my best friend, I take my husband too. But wait! My best friend IS my husband. LOL

I'm here, late - but I'm here.
I think an annual getaway with a true friend is a must for sanity, especially when your kiddos are little.
After my girls were grown and married, we would have a girls getaway, even if it was just for an evening. Good times were had by all.
It's a shame this museum even has to exist. It's hard to believe that I was a young teen when all of this was happening. The thing is, we cannot forget the past.

I'm so glad our weather behaved for you and your friend. It is not so pretty now, I am holding on to the hope that Saturday night will turn out as forecast.

I'm such a dummy - I did both of my LATSOF posts yesterday around 5 o'clock and then I was waiting to sign in... then I forgot all about signing in! LOL

This is a really neat shot - I like the perspective of it!
