Ruby Tuesday - The Buzz

I put up a hummingbird feeder Saturday. So far I've seen two different hummingbirds stop by for a drink. Since I was preggers last year I didn't put forth the time or energy to put one up, so it may take them a while to come around. I have decided that I could sit for hours out there with my Canon in firing position waiting for the "perfect shot". It's not easy to get a perfect shot of those little devils either. They are quite fast. These are a few of the early shots, hopefully with a little more experience I will be shooting them with a little more ease. If you would like to see more wonderful Ruby Tuesday photography, click the badge below the collage to take you to Ms Mary, our wonderful host. I think you'll like what you see! Now, I'm off to change some light bulbs. Why in the world is it that when one goes out, they all do?! I changed one in the kitchen yesterday and now the other is out. Grrrrr...

Surely the shutter speed on the camera is faster than these beauties?? Probably...not. But you captured these speedy guys very well!

I think you did really good. I shoot through a window or I'd never get a shot of one.

I know this is hard - you did great from my point of view.

I think to get the hummingbird photo, you have to put your camera on continuous shoot mode and just shoot lots and lots of frames. Thank goodness for digital cameras - no film to waste!

Wow! I can't get a decent shot of any birds and you're doing hummingbirds?! Well, OK, I can get good shots of my geese, but they just saunter around.
