When watching a DVD, why does it take so long to get to the actual movie?! After the
five or six previews that you have to either suffer through or fast forward then comes the menu. Some menus can be very easily navigated, but many like to get crafty on you and it's hard to tell what is play or what is the
director's commentary of the making of the movie. My least favorite is when you have to choose whether or not you want to watch the
extended edition of the theatrical version. How the hell am I supposed to know which version I want to watch. I just want to be able to put the DVD in, hit play and then sit back and enjoy the movie. Why is that so hard?
Now to put away my soap box and enjoy the movie...

I went and got Twilight today also. .have not watched it yet.. But, I saw the secret life of Bee's in the theater and loved the movie!!!
Usually, if you wait until the technical stuff is over (you know, the studio logo, the distribution stuff, etc.), once the previews start, you can hit "menu" on your remote and be directed straight to the main menu where you can hit "play movie."
Oh, and stay away from the "director's commentary." It's been my experience that it is interjected during key scenes, and I don't want it to mess up the flow of the dialogue.
