Camera Critters - "Streeeeeeetch"

I've spent the biggest part of the day sifting through baby clothes. I put away two big trash bags full of clothes that Emily can no longer wear (many of which she NEVER wore). I finally sat down to unwind a bit and visit some Camera Critters. Imagine my surprise when I realized that my post had only been saved to a draft and NOT set to auto publish. *sigh*

Without further adu, I give you my Camera Critters photo:
We visited the Memphis zoo last summer on what I believe to be the hottest day of the year. This guy decided to quench his thirst and I was lucky enough to capture a shot as he did. Can you imagine having to spread your legs so wide to take a drink?! It would be like being on one of those car lifts or something!

he is cute. Giraffes are just so improbable that they are almost a proof of miracles.

Wow! I've never seen one in real life! Cool!

the good thing about the clothes is there are always more babies coming to pass them off to!

I was at the Memphis Zoo last year when I went up to visit my Mom. I brought her and my aunt and uncle to the zoo. First time I had been back to that zoo since I was a kid.

That is a really cool photo. We went to a drive through zoo last year. It was weird, we had an ostrich stick it's head into our car window...

I love giraffes too and this is a marvelous photo. Looking at it reminds me of my 'warm' Photo Hunt this week at Sacred Ruminations featuring the live birth of a Masai Giraffe ;--)

Sorry I've fallen behind. I'm hoping to catch up, but lately I've just not been at home much to log on to my computer. I'm not complaining ... just letting ya know what's up. Life is good! Yesterday at Small Reflections, I shared photos of the lovely RAINBOW that greeted me Monday morning. ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

Great shot of that giraffe quenching his thirst.

The zoo must have smelled on a really hot day (sorry!)

That's a lovely shot. Sad to say Yohan hasn't seen a real giraffe yet because the one in the local zoo died.
