The Great Pumpkin Patch

Saturday was our annual visit to the pumpkin patch. Well, I use the term annual very loosely. We went last year and the kids enjoyed it so much we went again this year. I'm assuming that we've started a tradition. This place is a blogging mommy's dream! I kid you not the photographic possibilities are endless. In fact, my Wordless Wednesday post below was taken in the field of flowers at the Pumpkin Patch. I got enough courage to enter it in Roger's Creative Photography Contest.

There are many fun things for the kids to do along with posing for photos for their camera happy mommies. They have a corn maze as well as a small maze made of straw. The kids enjoyed both of these mazes with the corn maze being the family favorite. There is also a small petting zoo only the animals are in a pen and unless they decide to come to the fence you can't really pet them, so Tyler was quite disappointed with this fact. There is also a hay ride that takes you through the pumpkin patch. The pumpkins and gourds were all different shapes and sizes.

The best part about visiting the pumpkin patch is leaving with a pumpkin! It is officially fall for us when we get our pumpkins in the front yard. It also prompted me to get my butt in gear and we now have our home decorated for Halloween. I have some spooooooky pictures to prove it. Stay tuned for Halloween at the CrAzY house.

Love the smilebox photos. We'll be hitting a patch or two on our way back from Southern California on Sunday. (No point getting pumpkins on the way down on Friday and having them rot while we're at Disney!)

I love the photos and slide show. I love the thought of visiting a pumpkin patch someday.

BTW, I have an award for you on my blog. Sorry I wasn't able to inform you sooner.

I used to love to take the girls pumpkin-picking when they were younger. This brings back great memories of my own!
