Upcoming Disney Releases

I am SO pleased to see that Disney's Camp Rock and Hannah Montanna The Best of Both Worlds 3D concert are coming to DVD! We have both of these recorded on our DVR and Shelby wants to watch them all of the time. She doesn't know how to work the DVR so that means I have to stop what I'm doing and go into her room and play them for her. The release date for the two films is Tuesday, August 19. We were lucky enough to get advanced copies of both films so Shelby is able to pop them in her DVD player, which she knows how to work, at her own leisure (or shall I say, mine!).

Camp Rock was a great movie. I really enjoyed the overall message that this movie relayed to kids that you can follow through with your dreams if you just believe in yourself AND that you should always be yourself no matter what. Newcomer, Demi Lavato plays Mitchie the main character in this film. She has a beautiful voice and catches the ears of pop star sensation Shane played by Joe Jonas. If you haven't heard of the Jonas Brothers then just ask your children, grandchildren, or turn on the Disney channel! I must admit that I am a fan and was pretty excited to watch this movie with my 5 year old daughter. I was not at all disappointed. It was a great family movie and I would highly recommend watching. It hits the shelves August 19th so pick up a copy for yourself or if you are doing your Christmas shopping a bit early (WHAT IN THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!) or need a birthday gift, this would make a perfect selection. You can find out more details over at Disney.com.

Many of you might remember the controversy that brewed when people waited in line for days to buy tickets to see Hannah Montana only to get to the counter and be told that the concert was SOLD OUT. There were many disappointed little girls all across the country because they could not be a part of this phenom! Those brilliant minds over at Disney figured out a way to please everyone. They televised this SOLD OUT Best of Both Worlds Concert. But, they had to go one step further with this and not just televise it, but they showed it in 3-D! We watched this event as it aired on Disney and we had to share the one pair of 3-D glasses we had. It was pretty cool. Half of the concert was Hannah Montana and the other half was Miley Cirus. Stuck right in the middle to entertain us during the transformation were the above mentioned Jonas Brothers. The DVD is cool because it has a sing along feature which my daughter LOVES. She grabbed her microphone and began to transform herself into Hannah Montana as she sang along with her favorite tunes. This was priceless. I'm sure if your kids aren't asking for this video yet that the chances are that they are unaware of it's release date on August 19th but when they find out you'll be heading to the store to pick up a copy. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! In the meantime, you can head on over to the Disney headquarters to find out more information about this and other upcoming Disney releases.

Seen 'em both (with the kids, of course!) and loved 'em both! Those Jonas Brothers are ca-yoot, aren't they?? Daughter likes Joe best. I approve! :-)

Wow, you are really a cool Mom! In fact, maybe you are a little too cool. Are you sure that you're not just a really cool Aunt posing as a Mom?
