Conversations with Tyler

After "the incident" on Saturday with his Dad, Tyler and I were on or way back home after getting some medical supplies for his injured father. My 2 year old son and I had this conversation:
Me: I am SO glad that you were there to take care of Daddy while I was gone. I know you were a big boy for Daddy.

Tyler: Yep, there was a lotta blood coming out of Daddy's head.

Me: I know, and you stayed by his side and that helped him a bunch!

Tyler: Mom, I was just afraid that my daddy was going to die.

At this point, I felt a huge lump begin to develop in my throat because my little guy was so concerned with his dad. What a guy! Keep in mind that he is only TWO years old.

By the way, Brien's eye was pretty swollen this morning and looked pretty yucky, but I guess it's healing. We are all still counting our blessings that the outcome was as it was when it could have been so much worse!! I guess when work commences next weekend I can sell tickets and offer theater seating for the action packed show!

What a sweetheart! I'm glad that everything's okay. And your little one learned that Daddy can get hurt, and be just fine.
