To Add...or Not
The plans are in the works for a new room to be added on to our home! I am excited and a bit hesitant about all of this. I am reserved because we will not hire this work out as most people do but my husband, a plumber and his father, a jack of all trades will do it. They are going to frame up the floor of the garage to make it level with the rest of the house, tear out the 1970s paneling and replace it with sheet rock, paint, re-wire, add closets, etc. It will not be a small task and obviously since the baby is due at the end of August it will also not be one that will be completed before her arrival. We have an extra room that we use for an office right now. We will temporarily relocate our office furniture, etc and make this her haven until her nursery is completed. We might as well run an HDMI wall plate in there for cable while we've got walls exposed. Although it'll be a few years before she's watching television in her room, we might as well do it all at once. I have a feeling that before this is all said and done it will get pricey, but in the end it will be worth it because it will increase the value of our home.
