Saturday Photo Hunt - Pointed
When you have children you learn to "pick your battles" so to speak. Last night I picked mine. I gracefully bowed out. In fact, I didn't even come armed! We were getting ready to go celebrate America's Birthday (Independence Day) and we were doing it with family. Tyler had been stomping around the house with his pointed toed cowboy boots and this silly cowboy hat his Aunt got for him a while back. I put his festive tee shirt on him and some shorts then we got down to his foot wear. He immediately ran to his boots that he had just removed and put them back on. I asked him if wanted to wear his shoes. He pointed his finger at me and informed me that he was a cowboy and cowboys had to wear their boots, so my only request was that he wear socks so I didn't end up nursing blisters today. He complied and all was well. He was the sharpest dressed little guy at the gathering. *wink*
Oh, and my good friend Morgen from It's A Blog Eat Blog World was the featured Photo Hunter for last week's theme, Bright. Go check out Mo's Egypt photo and CONGRATS to you, my dear!

Huh? Am I in the wrong PhotoHunt? My theme is pointed. Oh well....
He looks sharp in his cowboy boots and red T-shirt! Happy Independence Day!!
Sorry, eastcoast life. I had the wrong theme. :)
I've changed it but kept the same photo. His boots are pointed. *LOL*
Too darned cute!!! Me being Texan at heart...love the pointed cowboy boots and his hat!!

Loving his joy!
Doesn't he look dapper? ;-)
Sometimes I really hate picking my battles... they all seem important, but with a bipolar child, picking my battles is one of the most important lessons I have yet to master!
Thanks for coming by & leaving some love for my photo this week! Have a great weekend.

mo
I like the 'pointed' boots ;O)
He looks mighty fine, momma.
How cute! Very creative idea for the theme. Great shot. Have a good weekend!
And he's a smart one... everyone knows a cowboy has to have his boots :-D
Maybe you can convince him that even cowboys relax sometimes ;-)
Yay! I found it!!
Thanks for dropping by, and again, he's a cutie!!
xxx

What a cute little cowboy you have there! Good save switching from sharp to pointed! LOL
Grin - he's a honk!! :) Fun picture!
Cheers, Klaus
I don't remember seeing pointed boots before. Are they more suitable for narrow feet? Yes, he pointed out correctly that cowboys wear boots not shoes.
He looks adorable in his outfit!
Happy 4th of July weekend! Thanks for dropping by.
What a gorgeous little boy! And beautiful pointed boots :)
Thanks for visiting mine earlier:)
I think the cowboy hat with the little star on it is perfect for the Independence Day holiday! And of course you have to wear cowboy boots with a cowboy hat. He is one sharp dressed man!
Timely post … and the pointy toed cowboy boots are a wonderful ‘take’ on today’s theme!
Hugs and blessings,
haha. What a cute little fellow he is! Happy weekend
Very cute and a nice twist on the theme! Thanks for stopping by mine! Happy weekend!
He is one cute boy :)
Have a great weekend!
Black goes with anything....so do cowboy boots!
Oh, he looks so happy. Yay!
I hope you had a wonderful 4th!
My daughter wore her cowgirl boots to see the fireworks as well! I actually thought it was a good idea because it would keep her ankles from getting bug bites. Or snakes. Or whatever!
Pointed star on that hat too!
He's so cute.
very pointed, such a cute young man
He's absolutely adorable, Tish! Happy 4th of July and happy PH! :)
He is adorable. When my Casey was little, he lived in cowboy boots. I have the funniest memory of him sitting on the piano bench with his booted feet dangling, wearing a cowboy hat and playing the piano. Sweetness. Treasure these days, Tish. (((Hugs)))
He does look sharp. My son was always the same way. I had to pick my battles. When he went to church as superman or to a school event as willy wonka.
That's a cool outfit!
ah he looks so cute in his hat and little boots
