Contest Winners

It has come time to choose the winners for my Road Trip Contest. I can assure you that I used the highest quality service to ensure the integrity of this contest! The agency of Tyler & Shelby were fabulous and did a great job for me. We started out by putting all of the names on a piece of paper, cutting them up and putting them in some "fine china" to be drawn out one at a time.

The three winners were then completely and randomly selected. They were as follows:
Roger

who had this to say: "I was once kicked out of Canada and had to hitch hike back to Idaho lol, but that story would take days to tell. Congrats to whoever wins!!"

who had this to say: "I was about 20 years old and my cousin and I decided that we wanted to go to New Smyrna Beach for a week's vacation. I lived in Indiana at the time and we decided to tell my mom that we were going with a group of girls and we were all riding down together. My mom was pretty strict so we knew if we told her the truth we wouldn't be able to go. Once she agreed to let us go with the group of girls, we figured it was ok if we went so Tina and I headed off in my little Toyota Paseo and had a blast in New Smyrna Beach. To this day, my mom still has no idea. I know I'm a horrible example for kids. It's not like we were partying or anything, we just wanted to go to lay out at the beach."

Sandy

who had this to say: "My road trip was in 1997 and it was a life changing experience. My 1st hubs of 25 years had left me for a younger woman and we had gotten divorced. I lived in the south, the kids were grown, and I was alone for the first time in a long time. I packed up the car one morning, and took off on a three day journey to my mom's in CA.

Driving over 2,000 miles alone makes you do a lot of thinking, and by the time I got there, I knew what I wanted to do. I flew back home two weeks later and moved to CA. Best thing I ever did. I learned who I was on that road trip. Everone should take at least one road trip alone in their life.
"

Thank you to everyone who participated. The winners have been notified and their DVDs are on the way. Roger did promise to post a description of his hitch hiking story when he receives his DVD, so we'll all be looking forward to that one! :)
