Manic Monday - Under
Tyler will be three in August. There are many words that Tyler mispronounces that are very comical. I thought since sometimes he can be difficult to understand that I would post some simple translations here.
Candles are Sandals that he will want to wear but when you put on his feet he hates them!
Decause is the same as Because only if you correct him he will tell you that YOU are saying it wrong.
Face, Foot, Finger are all mispronounced. He says his Fs as 'Sh' so Face comes out as "Shase" and Foot, "Shoot", etc. The funniest word he mispronounces due to this is Fart because it comes out as Shart, which most people take as something else...a fart mixed with ahem, well you know!
Medcinine is Medicine
Grirls is another word for the cootie covered member of the opposite sex.
Pahsgedi is how he pronounces his favorite pasta dish. I know some adults who incorrectly pronounce this word.
Dakota is his cousin but now we all call him "Dodie" because that's what Tyler called him. He says his name right now, but "Dodie" has just stuck with the rest of us!
Oscard is what he calls Oscar, the weiner dog.

Pahsgetti is wrong? That's OK, I pronounce it Pasta, anyway.
Hey, girlfriend, ya know what's really crazy? I got your comment just as I was about to read your post, hahaha. Thanks for the visit.
Great post. I am also trapped under my laptop, still haven't gotten under the covers. I thank God I'm not under the weather, hahaha. or under surveillance. or under indictment. Oh gosh... I must be tired... I'm babbling. Nite!!
I LOVED that pahsgedi bit. My cousin pronounces it like that, too!!! :)
Tyler's adorable. A super advanced happy birthday to Tyler, and a fabulous Manic Monday to you!
I love the way kids mispronounce words. I suppose we'd have to call them Bushisms nowadays :-)
To cute. I always like it when the little ones say the words wrong. I don't correct them because it doesn't last long enough that they are little.
My son use to always Heltel instead of hotel. We just would die laughing.
Thanks for your well wishes. I need it I'm sooo nervous. I'm afraid I'm getting in over my head.
You have to make up a dictionary for me, lol !
he is just so sweet...
smiles, bee
xxooxxoxoxoxo
Very cute! And spaghetti is my favorite pasta dish as well.
Have a great Monday!
but you understand
Kids are the greatest. Rye Bread used to say "puter" instead of computer and it was the cutest darned thing we didn't correct her for a while. Then we realized that a 25 year old saying 'puter wouldn't be good, so we made her start saying it right. :)
Happy MM!!
That kid looks like a fireball!
Hey, stop by my blog...the last 2 days I've posted a true story about the first of my family to come to the west coast in the 1850's written by one of the family members.
Gene
I love the way little kids talk. Up until about four years ago, my son always said, "constructions" instead of "instructions." I suppose that's because he's sooooooo into building things!
I think we all know someone who went through the pahsgedi phase!
Shart totally cracked me up!
Oh, and Mags - I still say "puter"!
Far too cute! Be sure Luis and I understand Tyler very well, especially the "Pahsgedi" - which are named "Pahsgedddiiii" in our home... the more meatballs, the more "iiiiiii" at the end =)
Happy MM!
How adorable. I so remember all those mispronounced words. How fun. Have a great day Tisha. Big hug. :)
Too funny!
Right now my 3-yr-old loves "TURDS!" Or, as they're known to the rest of us, those tiny crunchy candies from Willie Wonka - Nerds.
Our Harry (3 last November) pronounces some simple words wrong but doesn't seem to have any trouble with difficult ones!
That's so funny/cute! Kids do say the darndest things. Mine come up with some doozies too.
My sister hates this, so I will be the nasty big brother and tell it!
One of my cousins couldn't say her name for the longest time...Kelley. Instead he called her Coey. So we all did too.
Now Coey is very cute. Unless your last name is Cody and you have a big brother who goes around calling you Coey Cody Coey Cody...in public and in front of all your friends.
Bwahahahahahahahahahaaaa
I'm a baaaaaaaaad boy!
I love their own little language! I like Oscard the dog. We have Marcel the cat, which Georgia pronounces Marcelf. She also calls Po on Teletubbies "Post." Always makes me smile!
Thank you for the rosetta stone translation. :) My boy's name is Tyler also.
Hahahaha I still talk like that.
The language of children is one all their own and it's great, isn't it?
All three of my children had trouble with the pronunciation of spaghetti and Jamie still does!
I love how kids cant pronounce some words its so cute. by way 79 to go now isnt it i see... not long now!
I love how you put these 'translations' out there...it's so cute.
