Conversations with Shelby

Shelby and I spent a great deal of time out and about Sunday afternoon shopping. We had a wonderful "mother/daughter" afternoon. She is so fun to spend time with because she is just at that age (5.5) where she thinks that she is so grown up and her conversations are so fun. As we waited in line to eat our lunch I decided that she might end up as a futures broker because she has finances all figured out.

Shelby: Mommy, some day I will be a grown up like you.

Me: Yes, you sure will honey. How will you know when you are a grown up like me?

Shelby: Because I will have lots of credit cards in my wallet and then I can buy YOU lunch.

Now, this is a child who has the world all mapped out!

Her smile can light up and entire room. Awesome. Yep, she's got it right. That will happen someday too Tisha. You just wait and see and you'll remember this conversation. Have a great day honey. Big hug. :)
