Manic Monday - Daddy CAN!

MM Headquarters ~ Previous MMs
"Can"
"Can We Fix It? Yes We Can!!"
Tyler loves his daddy. In fact when his dad is home, I am pretty much toast until bed time rolls around and he wants someone to rock him. I guess old habits die hard. In this photo collage, we had a stopped up kitchen sink and Brien was working on it. Yup, it does pay off every now and again to be married to a plumber. It only took him four days to do it. Then it only took him five minutes to fix it. But, after four days of McDonald's I think he finally got the hint...no sink, no supper. ;) Anyhow, Tyler was right by his daddy's side the whole time. He held the flash light for his dad the majority of the time. He was so proud of himself when they got the project completed. Now he wants to add ladder racks to his battery operated Ford F150 so he can start making service calls! Like father like son, right?
She CAN Make Him "Pretty"
Shelby is at the age where you have to ask her for hugs and kisses. They don't come as freely as they used to and she is very particular who and how she gives them out. These photos were taken the same night that Tyler helped his dad fix the kitchen sink. This just goes to show how diverse that my husband is. He sat there and let Shelby put this make up on his face. Not only that, but he let me take photos of this process knowing that they would probably end up on the internet for the world to see. That's just the kind of man he is. He loves his kids and his kids love him, as you can see here. Like father like daughter, right? ;)

The point of this post is that a man CAN be a mentor to a son just as well as a daughter. You definitely have to take different approaches with each one, but to be a good parent whether it be a father or a mother you CAN do it with a little bit lot of hard work, love, and devotion and some really good make-up remover. *wink*

This is an absolutely wonderful post because it shows the father/son bond and the daughter/daddy bond so well.
I remember Allen playing Barbie with Cheyla and how sweet that was. Now he teaches her how to fix things too.

Of course they can ! Mr Gattino got up during the nights when our son was born to feed him the bottle so that I could sleep and that was in 1973 ! He was critisized for that because it was not "male" but he was crazy about his little son !

When on earth do you find time to scrap?? I've not opened a box of scrap-crap in years now. Sigh.

So SWEET! I absolutely love your collages - and I confess I didn´t know you´re scrapbooking... new hobby? Or did I miss it? Shame on me!

This reminds me of how Jasmine used to do Andy's hair. I never had the patience to sit for her, but he would let her mess with his hair for hours. Much better than TV for keeping both the husband and daughter occupied while I fixed supper. They grow up way too fast.
