Going on an adventure!

Well, it looks as if we're about to take an adventure. It's an adventure I haven't taken in years...especially since having children. I woke up this morning and began to tackle Mt St Laundry. Unfortunately when I put the clothes in the dryer I was mortified to discover that my dryer is on the fritz! It will come on and spin it's little heart out, but there is no heat. I've seen the commercial of the woman with the hair dryer trying to dry the clothes and this thought actually crossed my mind. But, I'm afraid the children would destroy the house while I was tackling this feat. So, hubby and father-in-law got out there and tried to figure out what the problem was and unfortunately it looks as though we need a new heating element in my 2.5 year old dryer. It looks like hubby and I get to take the laundry to the dreaded laundromat to get them dried. This should be fun considering it's been raining all day and it looks as though we've got a 100% chance for the remainder of the day. Tomorrow, that thing is going to a repairman to be fixed, no matter what the cost! It's way too important to our household! I might be willing to trade one good husband for one! *LOL*

Same thing happened to us last year. My sweet man was able to install a new heating element for me. The part took a few days to come in though. Had to be ordered. My laundry is always backed up so it was hard to tell the difference. LOL

Right when Erica was born, Hubby and I bought a house. I was thrilled to have a washer/dryer!
Before that, we lived in an apartment and always had to go to a laundramat. I hated it!
And to this day, I still hate doing laundry, even though its much easier now.
