Manic Monday - Explosive
I have been battling a sinus infection for over a week now. I am on my last day of a 7 day antibiotic and unfortunately I don't feel as though I am any better. I'm still having explosive headaches due to the pressure. I took the advice of some blogging friends and tried the Neti Pot. At this point, I was willing to try anything because I have not been able to get any relief. I followed the recommended dosage instructions and flushed out my nasal passages. I must say that it was a bit odd at first, but hopefully after a few flushes it will help get rid of this infection that obviously the antibiotic isn't. I will keep you posted on the results. I LOVE the neti pot!! I am prone to sinus infections, and this thing works wonders!!! LOVE IT! The last time I was sick, I used it twice a day. Keep it up!! You will feel better soon!

I've never heard of nasal irrigation! How strange! It makes me feel like I would need gills or something, to keep from drowning.

I'm sorry about your sinus infection. I used to get them all the time. What I hated most about them was that once I managed to knock them out with (at least two courses of) antibiotics, I would get a secondary infection and end up sick all over again. Mine were usually urinary tract secondary infections, which of course, meant another antibiotic!
I hope your's doesn't do that. Be well.

I sure hope you find relief for your sinus infection! Those are not fun! I have yet to use a Netti Pot but know folks who swear by it!

Oh good, I'm glad you found a Neti Pot... they say that regular use while symptoms persist is the key.

Ooh, it's nasty to be sick and pregnant. There's so much you can't take to actually get well. Hope the feel-good fairies will show up soon and you'll kick this thing.
neti pots are the bomb! i was freaked out when I first used one because I wasnt sure if it was going to work. Now I am hooked.
