Valentine's Treats & Contest

My kids love Fruit Rollups. Actually truth be known, I like them pretty well myself. The newest craze are the ones with the prints on them that you press on your tongue and it makes a temporary tattoo of sorts on your tongue. My kids have loads of fun playing with those! Just in time for Valentine's Day, the creative minds at My Fruit Rollups have created an amazingly fun website where you can actually design your own fruit roll ups! You can add pictures & messages, place your order and the product is delivered right to your front door. If you have young children like myself who will enjoying Valentine's Day parties at their school, imagine their excitement when they learn that they can take personalized candy to school to hand out to their friends! My oldest daughter helped me design our very own "Family Fruit Rollups" with the kids name right on there! How cool is that?! Now, we're anxiously awaiting their arrival for the big party. Here's where this post gets fun. My new friends over at Mom Central have partnered with My Fruit Rollups to offer my readers a chance at their own personalized Fruit Rollups! Yes, you read that right. I'm offering three lucky readers the opportunity to get a personalized box just for themselves. All you have to do is leave a comment to this post about the sweetest or most creative Valentines you've ever given or received. Three lucky readers will get their chance at creativity! The deadline for this contest will be Thursday, January 31. Winners will be announced Friday morning in order for them to be able to order their product in time for Valentine's Day! Good luck to everyone! I look forward to your comments. So, I look forward to hearing from you!

My hubby says the most creative Valentine I've ever given him was a hand-crafted Valentine using photos of the kids and my best scrapbooking techniques. He's not a memorabilia person, but this card he kept.

Ok, so I didn't even leave you with a good Valentine's idea, but I thought of one...
When my Hubby and I were dating, I was in Michigan at MSU~ he was in Maryland at the USNA~ we had not seen each other for a long time and I was bummed because he told me he was going on a church retreat for that weekend, so now I wasn't even going to be able to talk to him. Ugh. So the night before Valentine's Day, he called me in my dorm room, I took the phone out into the hallway (ya know so I could talk without everyone hearing- Ha.) I told him I was thinking about going home for the weekend to get away from all the lovey dovey people at school. He asked me why I would do that and as I was answering he walked up behind me. I was sitting on the floor and couldn't get to my feet, still holding onto the phone he pulled me up and gave me a huge hug and said Surprise~ Happy Valentine's Day! I melted.

Ok, so I feel better now that I left a little ditty about Valentine's. On the the fruit roll ups! I won, yippee!! Thankgoodness everyone else was slackers on this one~ woohooo! My kids will love it. Thank you. You said you needed an email...
