St Augustine Artwalk

One of the downsides to living in a small rural town in Arkansas is the lack of culture. I have visited big cities and that is one of the things I find most intriguing in a large city. I love that there are so many things to do, all of the time. Usually in small town Arkansas we have annual or semi-annual events, but most of the time they are not free and usually do not involve art to the magnitude of the First Friday Weekend Art Walk in St Augustine, Florida. This is one of the most popular cultural events in central Florida. It takes place the first Friday and Saturday of each month from 5 to 9pm with over 20 participating art galleries! To make your visit to each gallery more pleasant, sightseeing trains and old town trolleys are a complimentary shuttle service to most of the galleries. You can catch a ride every thirty minutes. The greatest thing about this event is that it is free to the public. Music, entertainment, and refreshments are offered up with the latest exhibits at most galleries in the St. Augustine Artwalk. Parking is also free of charge for this event. The next Artwalk is December 5th, so if you live in the area or ll be visiting at this time make arrangements to attend this amazing event!
