Daylight Savings Time

What do you think about Daylight Savings Time? This time of year it seems to really get the best of me. I hate that it gets dark so early. Today as I was getting ready to go home from work it was getting dark. I HATE that. I also hate that the sun starts peeping in on me earlier than it was in the mornings. I am a dark sleeper. Once light hits my eyes and I open them I have a horrible time getting back to sleep. Just like anything else, we'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks and then we'll gripe about "springing forward"!

How do you feel about DST? Do you think that we should still fall back and spring forward? Comment me and let me know. I think that we should split the difference a half hour and leave it alone.

Happy Tuesday to you all.

I love 'falling back' - it's my favourite! I feel so good in the mornings after the time change 'thinking' that I've got an extra hour of sleep!!

My hometown is one of the only in Canada that voted to not change it's time. I forget why, but that's always been the big joke about that sleepy little town - even the time doesn't change! hehe

I would vote for no time changing. It's not good for our bodies. Right now is the "right" time, so I'd rather just leave it be.

They tried DST here in the Philippines several years ago to conserve on energy but it was only a one time thing. I guess many people didn't like it.

I remember one year when it was decided to abandon DST - no-one liked it!

I like falling back - it means an extra hour in bed!

Yep, let's spring forward in the spring and not touch it ever again. Your idea isn't bad either. Have a great day Tisha. :)

I am SO with you! Getting dark by 4:30pm is really not fun. I think they should keep adjusting the time so that it stays light out until 8:30 or 9pm. I don't much mind what's happening in the morning.

I think there was a really good reason for changing the time in the Fall...wasn't it so that kids weren't walking to school in the dark?

Or maybe it had something to do with farm labor? I can't remember now.

Visit me tomorrow--I'm with Mo and Mimi blogging for Peace.

I really don't mind it. The first week I think it is tough for a lot of people to adjust to. My animals got me up old time so to heck with sleeping in an hour late. I know when my kids were baby's it was hell. I hated any time change.

I prefer the "correct" time during the late fall and through the winter. I don't care for it being dark in the morning when I go to work.

Living farther north, during the summer it doesn't get completely dark until after 10:30pm. I have enough trouble sleeping without it still being light so late.

So I would prefer the time stay the same.

Since I live in "Michiana" - the region the media calls this area of Michigan & Indiana - I for one am GLAD that Hoosiers are now on the SAME time zone as we are.
It was WAY too confusing to have people 25 miles away be an hour different than us.
As for DST --- well, I like DSL better, but I'm used to DST.
