Take a bite outta Tyler

When I got to day care to pick Tyler up yesterday I was informed by his teacher that he was bitten on the playground. She said that she was on break when it happened so she didn't really know exactly what occurred. I had to sign an "accident report" that stated that two children were fighting over the toy and one child got bit. The teachers aren't allowed to tell us who was involved. But, Tyler blurted out her name. It just so happens that she is the grand daughter of our neighbor. *LOL* He's got a pretty good mark (bruise) on his right hand. But, he's fine. I'm sure this will be the first of many "accidents" I'll be briefed about. *Sigh*
...ahhh the joys of being a mother of a little boy!

See you sounds like my kinda mom, I don't sweat the small bumps and bruises either.

I'm with Katherine. That's just strange.

I'm so glad my kids are out of the biting stage, although now they're into the "she said, he said" stage.

Sigh.

When my brother and I were small, I was the big brother and he was a year and half younger, he went through a biting stage. I remember him chasing me with his mouth open and his hands up, like some sort of monster from tv, threatening to bite me.

Hopefully he doesn't pick up the biting!

Okay, the report thing isn't quite right. Because of what happened. Kids will tell everything! Why keep out key info when you'll find out anyway.

Glad it's not a huge deal, and good for him for not retaliating. That in itself is major at that age. Kudos, little guy!

I don't like this idea of signing a report and not being told who bit your kid. It doesn't help teach a lesson, about sharing or about finding a better way to solve problems than fighting or biting.

But I guess I shouldn't say anything since I don't have kids.
