Saturday Photo Hunters

This Week's Theme: Original
Wanna See More? ~ Visit TNChick

Shelby has no ORIGINAL curls. She cried all the way home from pre-school Thursday because she wants curly hair like Katie (her cousin). I tried to explain to her that God made us all different and he loves the way he made us and that we should love ourselves the way we are (easier said than done, I know!). That just seemed to make her cry worse when she realized her brother has curly hair. It's not fair that he has curly hair and she doesn't! So, my sister (Katie's mom) suggested that I buy some sponge rollers and give her instant curl. So, she was very excited to put these in her hair as soon as we got home on Friday night. Now for a while she has curly hair, even though they aren't ORIGINAL.

So cute. I never appreciated my curly hair until I was a bit older.

It's so nice how you captured her happiness and excitement at that moment.

I have straight hair and I remember when I was young I also wanted curly hair. My nanny would braid my hair in the morning before going to school then after class, she would remove the braids and instant curly hair! That made me so happy.

I have such natural curly hair that all my life I wanted so badly to have straight hair so I could do fun things with it like braids and ponytails...

Awww,.. poor Katie! Little does she know,... curly hair doesn't go straight either, unless you use a straighener. Bet she looked adorable with curls too. Hope you take a photo of it! Have a good weekend.

What a great take on this weeks theme. I hope her hair stayed curly all day.

I remember these kind of curlers when I was a kid! I hope hair was beautifully curly - I'm sure it was!

my daughter would never let me get away with putting those in her hair. I wish. Great take on the theme, Tish.

Shelby is the sweetest little child! She has inherited your gorgeous smile, lucky thing...
My hair was straight; now it's gotten wavy-curley. Weird... but it's falling out by the handsful. I might just need a set of Britney extensions!!! Ha...

We always want what we don't have... when I was a child I hated my wavy hair and was always trying to flatten it... now that I'm in a dry climate and it' limp and lifeless, I would give anything for my wavy, bouncy childhood hair!

That is one VERY cute little girl you have, Tisha. I bet she looked great with "the do" after the rollers came out.

I tagged you with the My Desktop meme. Check out my blog to find out how to play.

Tell her...I have tried my entire life to get the curls OUT of my hair.

I use to cry that I wanted straight hair....no kidding.
