Memories

Nine Years ago on this day, I remember my sister and I were riding to wal-mart together. I was driving. It was the eve of my wedding. I remember the nervous butterflies that were in my tummy. I knew I wanted to marry this man. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. I knew that I loved him. But, I wanted everything to be perfect. I wanted my hair to look just right. I wanted my nails to be so beautiful. I wanted everyone to look at me with envy and think of how lucky I was to be marrying such a wonderful man. I wanted everyone to look at him and see how lucky he was to be marrying such a wonderful woman! Just about that time, I heard my sister scream...TISHA!!! I looked up from my daze in the driver's seat. I was running a red light right in the middle of the busiest intersection in town. There were cars on either side of us slamming on their breaks! I stopped as horns were blowing and fingers were being raised. My sister ducked her head and I stepped on the gas to get out of the way. Thank goodness we made it unscathed. Needless to say my sister drove us around for our errands the rest of the day.

Yeah, what Empress Bee said. You were both very lucky that day. I'm happy about that too. :)
