Gossip Girl

Hmmm...a cast full of beautiful young people. It can only mean one thing...hot gossip! Gossip Girl on The CW premiers Saturday, September 19 (that's my anniversary!). This show should be pretty interesting to most of my readers because it has to do with blogging. Gossip Girl is is an upcoming American television teen drama created by Josh Schwartz, creator of The O.C., and Stephanie Savage. Gossip Girl is based on the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side. They deal with the normal pressures of teen living, drugs, sex, all while climbing the social ladder. The series is narrated (similar to one of my favorites Desperate Housewives) by The series is narrated by "Gossip Girl", voiced by Kristen Bell. This "Gossip Girl" runs a website blogging about her fellow Upper East Siders and stirs the pot, feeding potential rivalries in an exclusive vicious circle of friends. It looks to be a very interesting show. I think it'll appeal to me because it has blogging involved. In the blogging world, it's very easy to "stir the pot" so to speak and spread gossip. With a bit of anonymity, such as the "Gossip Girl" has it makes it even easier. I think that having someone hiding behind a computer screen makes it a bit easier to be that "Gossip Girl" when you don't have to actually 'fess up to your gossip!
