Conversations With Shelby
We were in the truck and Shelby was watching Disney's High School Musical. This girl is in love with this movie! Here's how the conversation went:
Shelby:
Mommy, look at my face. It's really sad.
Me:
What's the matter, sweetie? Why are you really sad?
Shelby:
(Now with tears streaming down her cheeks)
I'm sad because Gabriella is mad at Troy and she won't talk to him!
Me:
(Trying not to laugh)
Shelby, you've watched this show a zilion times and you know that she won't be mad at him for long. She forgives him soon.
Shelby:
(sobbing uncontrollably)
I know, but I don't want her to get mad at Troy because they're friends!
***Today we were watching and she told me she wouldn't cry this time because she knew that they would be friends in the end and that Gabriella wouldn't be mad at him long because friends don't give up on one another. ***

Well, perhaps if Shelby wishes hard enough that part of the movie won't happen. I so love these conversations. :)
