Birthday Wishes!
Today is my mom's birthday! Yes, we do have LOTS of birthdays in September. My mom is a very special person to me. I just want to take a minute to tell her how much I love her. (I had a card for you on Monday, Mom and I forgot to give it to you. But, I dropped it in the mail for you.) I love you and I hope that you have a great day. My mom and I have a very special bond because I was the oldest child. She was also a single mother for most of my life, so I bore a lot of the responsibilities that most kids never experience. I did it with pride. I loved taking care of my brother and sisters while my mother worked. It was something that I just did. I never thought twice about it. I knew that my mom needed my help and I have never regretted it. In fact, I think that it helped prepare me for mothering my own children. I didn't have an easy childhood. But, my childhood made me who I am today and for that, I thank my mother. The woman who helped to shape me into the person that I've become. Thank you, Mom for all you've done.
